Reviewed By lenemikeThe late flight from Paris lands at 22.45, so a night at the airport seemed like a good option. The Ibis hotel is a ten minute walk from the arrivals terminal; I walk fast especially on a chilly March evening after being cramped in airbuses! Even at the late hour the check in was efficient and I was asleep in a comfy bed by 23.30. The hotel is very clean, very modern and very functional. Breakfast served from 06.30 was fine too, basic items, with good coffee and fresh fruit. There's a pool and a restaurant at the hotel, but my guess is most guests don't particularly want to linger on the edge of an airport and close to a busy main road...

AeroportHotel is realy close to the airport, and he's the only one! Two free shuttles are available between the hotel to : the airport, Parc&Suites Arena, parc des expositions or tramway (ecopol station). Available betwen 5.30AM and 10PM all week long. It's a confortable hotel with a swimming pool, gym, smal french library and sauna! 5 seminar rooms are also avalaible to rent. The staff is realy nice and friendly, you can find someone at the reception 24hours a day, always available to help you. The 65 rooms are also realy clean and confortable.
Somewhat disappointed
Reviewed By AidGriffWe were in the hotel for a meeting on the Wednesday afternoon with an overnight stay before the meeting continued on Thursday morning. Our room was disappointing, no soap in the bathroom, toilet di not flush properly so needed to press button a second time to stop water flushing continually. The bed was in front of the toilet door with less than 1 mètre between the bed and the door. The television remote control did not work even when batteries changed. Breakfast was expensive at 12.90€ each, should have been more like 8.00€ So sorry not impressed

No restaurant of an evening
Reviewed By claireg246Perfectly adequate place to say with a lovely clean pool but hadn’t realised the restaurant didn’t open in the evenings. However visited the local port and happened by chance to visit the first restaurant we came across, a six minute walk from where we parked our car. It was called Hotel le Gideon and the menu consisted of small plates, ie we had 6 plates between 4. Breakfast was an additional €11 euros per head and didn’t feel it was worth this. There are no facilities and it’s more an aparthotel. It didn’t live up to the expectations, think more travelodge with a pool.

Good and Not-So-Good

I was a bit disappointed in the room itself because one of the nightstands was wire, and the base of the lamp took up the flat space. We needed it for a CPAP machine, so that was a bummer. The breakfast was the typical continental breakfast. We've lived in Europe for 3 years, so it was expected. Lunch and dinner share the same menu, which is good, considering there are several dishes to try. A major minus was the fact that the bathroom door didn't completely shut (and it squeaked). That said, every single person we encountered was the utmost professional, and we left feeling good about our experience staying there.

Reviewed By 881salom_ebI came for 2 days to take an exam: the hotel was charming, the neighborhood very quiet at all times though the beach is right around the corner, with lots of restaurants on the port. I especially enjoyed the flexibility of the owners who prepared breakfast for me at 5:30, and made sure that my bike was safe inside. 20min away from the Parc des Expos by bike, on a bike trail. Bonus point: the flight of flamingos at sunrise is truly magical!

I was absolutely gobsmacked by the size of my room. It was huge in comparison with other Ibis hotels. Check in as well as check out went without any problems thanks to the very professional staff.

Reviewed By 70ricjThe owner is doing this place up. Non-refurbished rooms a little tired but clean, refurbished rooms are great. The location is brilliant - cobbled Street centre of Mauguio - Street parking usually fine. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. Not to be missed is the market Sunday morning. I mean, French regional markets are legendary but seriously? THREE stalls just selling fresh shellfish (oysters/mussels)!! Fantastic veg, fruit, cheese, pasta, hot food, meats, clothes etc etc. Its just not fair!!!

Very hospitable hotel
Reviewed By bayrouniWe arrived at the hotel after 10:00 on a Sunday night. The kitchen was closed, but the manager went out of his way to bring us snacks, including bread, meat and slices of pizza from the family table, all on the house. We felt very well looked after. The rooms are small, but very clean and comfortable, and the terrace at the front of the hotel is a good place to relax. For a hotel so close to the airport and the highway, this is a real winner.
