This very clean hotel is not too far from Muir Woods and not too far from Napa. There are good restaurants and shopping across the street. Every staff member we met was professional and polite. We had a two room suite, which was very spacious. The bathroom was small. I mean, really, really small. No problems with noise. The breakfast had many options, including waffles and scrambled eggs. The landscaping is well-kept.

Nice hotel - extra charges

Reviewed By goldcomac

The hotel is located right on Bridgeway, the main street in town, so any shopping or eating you want to do is walking distance away. Our room was very nice and the small balcony opened up onto Bridgeway which we also liked. The staff was very friendly each time we saw them but I have two minor complaints which I'm only bringing up because they didn't follow up on what they said they would. First, we got to the hotel early and our room wasn't ready. They said they'd text us when it was. They never did. Second, we left our bags with them while we walked around town waiting for the room to get ready and they said they'd put them in our room so they'd be there waiting for us. They didn't do this. Both of these are minor and they aren't playing into my points below. There were charges on our bill that we weren't expecting and I feel like they were added as a way for the hotel to pad its revenue. We had two "resort fees," totaling $97 for our two-night stay. I can't imagine what this covered. The treadmill I used for 45 minutes? The fire pit I had to uncover myself? If so, I'd take the $97 and exercise somewhere else and not sit by the fire pit. There isn't a pool manned by a staff handing out clean towels. There isn't a "happy hour" with drinks and horse d'oeuvres, or the use of bicycles. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was big, the shower had nice power. I have no complaints about the rooms at all.

The Lodge at Tiburon

Tavern , lobby and common spaces are great.

Reviewed By drmader

Charming walkable spot with plenty of parking. I would call this a motor lodge w a great restaurant ..and gathering spaces . No views from really anywhere on this property( maybe sky deck?). It’s a good downtown location but don’t expect a harbor view . We may have been in the Hotels.com special room..but we did feel it lacked some basics like new fresh feeling white linens..bed to bath felt a bit mismatched, yellowed-just showing age. Where was a luggage Rack for room? No place at all to set luggage. And a newer clock radio for iPhone plug in that is current or just plugs near bed in general would be good. Water daily is a must. Bottle of wine and Kurueg is a nice touch. Nice chair and sitting area, dresser and good lamps/lighting, make up mirror all very helpful . Full length mirror Also really nice . Felt the stairs w duct tape, exterior staircases /walk way condition, slow drains in bath, and over bathroom/room decor was ready for an upgrade . Pool , fire pit and lush landscape were all very nice . We literally ate 3 nights in a row at the tavern and sat and did work one day in the bar. The staff is delightful and the food is delicious.. try pensa …arugula /prosciutto wonderful. Burger ..and arugula salad w mozzarella ..fresh and good..live music and many people filling the patio, locals and tourists alike. Felt more of a local scene to us. Walk to woodlands market, Wells Fargo, CVS, Rustic bakery and Sam’s..all so easy from here . We would gladly stay again..this is the nicest spot in this small sleepy seaside village.

In my daughters words .. “this is a nightmare”

Reviewed By amylY8774ES

Checked into this hotel at 1:30am last night after a long flight from Chicago. This hotel is nothing like the pictures; it was a nightmare. Looked like someone urinated outside out door & left a huge mystery puddle. The sheets were dirty & towels. The place smelled like sewage. Informed the front desk right away & asked for a new room. They said they didn’t have any other rooms & just gave us new towels & sheets that we had to change ourselves at 2am! My daughter was in tears & didn’t want to stay in the room but we didn’t have any where else to go. Very disappointed with our stay .. left as soon as we were able this morning.

Superb location, lovely staff

Reviewed By NCVienna

When I last visited SF 15 years ago I swore I would escape the foggy city on my next visit and stay on the sunny shore across the bay… So visiting with my husband this time, we chose Tiburon as our base (also because the easy ferry ride across the bay was so much more appealing than having to battle the metropolitan traffic). We couldn’t have chosen a better base. Water’s Edge was absolutely lovely in every respect, from its superb location on the water, skyline views of the city, super-friendly staff and lots of little extras like the lovely fireplace (you can pick up extra logs at reception) and the goody-bag and two half bottles of wine Martin handed us on arrival. Not to mention the bowl of Swiss chocolates at reception… Parking just one block away at $15/day was also convenient. Fantastic water pressure in the shower. We had room 217 which was on the second floor with partial water views and only a couple of steps away from the phenomenal roof terrace with breath-taking views, great sun loungers and a nightly fire-pit. We enjoyed the pre-order breakfast (fill in the quite extensive menu the night before) – there were breads, bagels, pastries, porridge, cream cheese, peanut butter, hard boiled eggs, salmon and much more to choose from. There is a toaster and a fridge in the room but no safe. The restaurants nearby (we had lunch at Sam’s and a beautiful birthday dinner at Luna Blu) are excellent and just steps away. The hotel truly was the perfect base for us and we would highly recommend it.
