Great Staff, Super Clean Hote!
Reviewed By kmbevanWe traveled to Michigan to visit family. The hotel was very clean and the staff were all courteous and helpful. The only complaints we had is that there was only one chair in our deluxe king room, which is not reasonable for two people. One person had to use the bed for a chair, which is NOT comfortable as a chair. The other complaint is that the beds, while comfortable, are firmer than the Hampton "Dream" beds we were always used to enjoying at Hampton Inns. Overall, our stay was pleasant and we appreciated the complimentary hot breakfast with good choices, and the wonderful staff, who always had a smile and hello when we were entering/leaving.

Reviewed By samiaA2337LUI booked this hotel on a trip from CA to Michigan. After checking in, I found the room to be filthy, bed covers had stain marks, most likely not replaced from previous stays. The wash basin in the room was clogged with dirty water. It was possible to use this basin. When I complained at the counter I was asked to leave or they will call the police. The receptionist was particularly unpleasant and he forced me to leave the at 9:30 pm. Please DO NOT use this hotel for your health and safety.

Should not be a Marriott
Reviewed By CAmaro1228I have visited Marriott hotels around the World, including during the COVID pandemic and never been as disappointed as this one. I booked this as a getaway stay for Memorial Day and used 2 free upgrades in my account and was really surprised with the conditions of this location. Room was dirty, no toilet paper, no soap, shampoo or conditioner. Carpet was ripped in many areas, closet doors out of place. Vents were covered with dust. Pull out couch and living room chair had many dirty spots. "Hot breakfast" was less than desirable (see the pictures). Building conditions are questionable (see pictures). To make things worst, I was hit with parking charges and the person at the front desk was not able to remove them. I spoke with the Manager and she guaranteed that a refund was issued but it may take 3 days. I am a loyal Marriott customer and even have a time share with Marriott. If you are staying in Madison Heights, there are 2 other hotels less than a mile away, Fairfield Inn and a Town Place.

Older property but clean
Reviewed By michigantraveler05This is an older property that needs a little love. You can tell that the furniture has numerous nicks, burn spots on the counters, etc. It was, otherwise, clean. The staff was nice. The bed was like a cement block and the tv was small for the room and perched low on a credenza. Not much around to eat unless you go to the mysonginestic Twin Peaks. The grab and go breakfast isn't what you think. I believe it was oatmeal you could make and some snack bars. Would I stay here again? Probably not.

A disgusting waste of my time and money
Reviewed By 316shelbynThis place was disgusting. I would have left but I was told you can only get a refund within 15 minutes of checking in. That was written somewhere on check-in and not told verbally. Terrible wifi; had to join a meeting on my phone using data. There are roaches and the room is dirty with holes! I saw a roach when I was about to leave my room to check out. When I told someone it was gross I was then blamed for not asking for a different room. I tried to leave and couldn't because of the policy and no one recommended another room. Yet it was "my" fault. Besides, if there are roaches in mine there are roaches in the others. That's how it works. Poor standard of cleanliness across the board.

Reviewed By Sunshine62662186514I made a reservation, got there at 5 pm. Went to room, first to bathroom. Toilet would not flush. I noticed there were no towels. Then old clothes on floor beside bed. Called front desk, two women came to room, as they left I asked if the toilet was fixed, they said someone else does that. I waited an hour. I had dinner reservations with my fiancé and I had to leave. I called front desk and asked when person would come to fix toilet, I was told that person had left for the day. I took all my belongings with me to dinner and same back to another room. This one was ice cold, absolutely no heat on, I did not have a nice evening.
