A Great Choice in Korcula Town!

This is a really nice hotel just outside the old city of Korcula. The rooms are well appointed and the staff try very hard to please. The breakfast buffet is excellent. While in Korcula, be sure to spend a day on the hop on and off boat taxi to visit some of the surrounding islands . You won’t regret staying at this family run boutique hotel.

Lovely boutique hotel on the harbor front

Reviewed By Laura C

We stayed here with friends - booked 2 room with sea view for 2 nights- and loved it. What this hotel lacks in size it makes up with charm, service and hospitality. Thea and Nino and the team provide wonderful service and are helpful with any request- even made us a reservation at a local restaurant- Konoba Maha- it was fantastic- highly recommend! Yes, the rooms and bathrooms are cozy, but they are elegant and spotlessly clean. Fantastic location on the waterfront with beautiful views, plus the coffee and breakfast are excellent.

A Lovely quaint hotel..

This hotel has a lovely location over looking the Marina. We knew before arriving that that we were unable to get the superior room we wanted so we plumped for a standard room. The room was v small and had the smallest window you could imagine. However, the decor and thought which has been put into the room is amazing. We tried dinner, bed and breakfast which didn’t disappoint. The hotel has a lovely outdoor seating area with the most amazing views. The food for breakfast and dinner was of high quality, although sometimes limited in vegetarian choices. When we pointed this out to the hotel they immediately rectified it. The position and quality of this hotel surely makes it one of the top choices on the island.

Not a great hotel

Reviewed By adaajoku

We arrived for a 3 night stay, the views are breathtaking and the hotel looks good from the outside but that’s about it. We booked a double room which I would say was very average. We did have a bottle of sparkling wine on arrival which was a good touch but that I’m afraid is the only highlight. Our first room was overlooking a courtyard with some workmen doing some drilling/digging. This is rather unpleasant at 8am whilst on holiday. We requested to be moved to a sea view room the following morning, they managed to arrange this for us. The new room seemed great at first then the cracks began to show! There was a leak on the balcony with towels laid out on the floor to absorb it. As you can imagine, the towels got soaked and so the floor out there was wet. The hinge on one of the doors came off, the key card was barely functional and it kept on going off. The breakfast was very basic, no coffee facilities in the room. One morning I asked for some freshly squeezed orange juice, I was given watered down orange juice and was charged as it was extra to breakfast! The dinner was very average and mostly lukewarm. At dinner we asked for tap water and we were told that they can’t serve tap water, we than asked if it was okay to drink in the room, and the waiter didn’t answer the question. One of the glass panels on the lift was shattered with no signs to notify the guests. The hotel bar is largely unmanned though the sign says it’s open all day, this is rather unwelcoming. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Just what we needed....

Reviewed By Spotnutty

We wanted to stay here 2 years ago but it was full on our dates. We chose another hotel in Korcula near the Old Town and made a plan to visit the” Aminess Lume “ whilst there. We rented a car for a day, visited some other areas of this very scenic island and turned up un-announced mid afternoon. We were greeted by Darija who was courteous, helpful and answered all of our questions. She also gave us a comprehensive tour of the hotel and its facilities. We were impressed by the quality of the fixtures/ fittings and the workmanship used on the last recent re-fit of this 70’s origin hotel. It looked and felt clean and fresh. We were offered a cold drink and a towel back in reception and invited to take a dip in the pool/ sea before heading off. Excellent customer relations for non guests! We decided there and then that it actually was just as it looked in the pictures, the sea really was that clear and should we ever be fortunate enough to return to Korcula in need of a weeks rest, then this was the hotel for us. On return to the UK we mentioned it to friends and showed them pictures, the response was “can we come next time!” So, we booked for the following September, 2020 which was postponed due to the dreaded Covid, till this Sept 2021. We ( 3 couples ) have just returned from a superb week here, a long awaited and much needed holiday/ rest for us all and despite the weather forecast, we had long sunny days in the mid 20’s. One of our friends has limited mobility but can do steps with help, the room they were allocated was superb for access to all areas, the other 2 rooms were in the same main block. The same friend was taken ill mid week and once again Darija stepped up to the plate and organised a driver to pick up some meds from a Pharmacy and get them to us quickly. She also arranged our Covid tests for return to the UK, transport to and from the clinic In Korcula Old Town and the loan of a wheelchair. What a star! We all agreed that the long 3 ish hour transfer from Dubrovnik was worth it, the location of the hotel is quite simply beautiful, it was spotlessly clean, hand sanitizer was available on or near all exit/entry points and all staff we encountered were masked, courteous and helpful. Despite it being the last week of the season there was a plentiful, good choice of nice freshly prepared food right up to our last evening meal. My only criticism here is like others, any drink like water/ tea/ coffee/ juice which is readily available at breakfast, has to be purchased during the dinner service. Of course you expect to pay for alcohol but surely the profit margins can’t be that tight and complimentary water/tea/ coffee could be made available in the evenings? Must be a Croatian thing as it was the same at the last hotel we visited. Shame. There are some very scenic walks/ runs from the doorstep here, 4 of us were able to take the walk down into the bay, along the other side and up to a communication tower, some of the views were a sight for sore eyes and there are a few places to take in a cold one one on the way back! In conclusion, a lovely, well kept hotel in a beautiful peaceful location with attentive, helpful staff. We would have given it a 5 if not for the dinner drinks situation.

Lovely location with easy access to old town

Reviewed By JEP01

This is a relatively large resort hotel with a wide range of accommodation. We had a family room which meant we had a separate living area as well as a balcony. Unfortunately the balcony didn’t get much sun but was still a nice place to sit out and have lunch. The reception staff were very helpful and overal the facilities are good with a choice of three swimming pools and a private pebble beach with large swimming area. We stayed at the end of the season so the place was relatively quiet; my impression might not have been so good had the place been crowded. I think 4 stars is quite a stretch; I would grade is as a solid 3+ star resort. The scenery is beautiful and it was very easy to get into the old town. The cheapest and quickest way is by water taxi but there is also an electric cart that will take you in following the walkway. On foot I think this takes about 20-30 minutes. Continental style breakfast is served in the main restaurant with plenty of choice. Because we were there in late September, there were not the 9 advertised restaurants. However, we did try the Kobona Lanterna, described as a vintage tavern further along the promenade in Shell Bay. The food here was excellent – I had the lamb chops which were cooked to perfection. We also tried the G&T lounge and the waiter there was absolutely brilliant.

Good value for money

Nice hotel with new outside pool (last time I was here in 2016.), indoor pool is also nice and clean. The room was spacious with good working aircondition. Try to book the room with sea view as other rooms are over the kitchen so with opened window there will be some "cooking smell" in your room. Nice friendly staff, some problems to find the free parking place in high season.

Spacious, airy, super clean!

We stayed here for 2 nights in May. It was shoulder season and they were getting their terrace and bar ready. Our room was fabulous: spacious, breezy, super clean and quiet. We didn’t need to use AC as we just opened the windows facing the Harbour for natural air conditioning. The pool was clean with lots of seating options in the sun or shade. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was both a buffet of cold items and we could custom order hot items. What a nice hotel in a beautiful town. Hike to the cave when you visit :)
