Reviewed By IloveShatalieI stayed in this hotel with family members over the New Year and it was fantastic. The hotel rooms were spacious, clean and so comfortable. We had a great view and slept so well. We loved everything about the room. The onsen was great too. I've never been in one and this one was clean, comfortable and lush! The breakfasts and dinners were amazing! We ate so well while we were there. The hotel staff were very kind, always helping us out and giving us great tips whenever needed. They went out of their way to help us, and we are so grateful for the wonderful hospitality. On new year's eve, we were able to join and take part in their annual mochi making and celebrated the new year with other hotel guests. It was such a treat. We highly recommend this place to anyone who would like a hotel close to the ski resorts, wonderful hospitality and a great and comfortable stay.

Reviewed By areko310Stayed a whole week, good facilities and good access to the snow. Rooms were well appointed for this style of operation. Staff, was very responsive, although only a few could speak English. However, there was always follow up and action. Catering options seem limited. Big dining room with buffet-style breakfast, lunch and dinner. Small lobby bar with limited hours of operations. Small, but good Soba Noddle place located in the baseman and another restaurant on level 3, again with strict booking procedure and limited hours of operation. Great onsen, both indoor and outdoor with good sauna. Definitely a benefit after a day on the slopes. Overall good facilities with attentive staff.

Good location, Good size rooms.
Reviewed By Jesse DLocation is a little out of the way but if you have a car its no trouble. Rooms are nice and spacious and beds were comfortable. Buffet breakfast was also nice and offered a great selection of Japanese / Western Foods. Onsen was also very nice.

Reviewed By S4542YGvisitorStayed several times before for years, as it is located at the deepest spot of Nojiriko Lake, surrounded by only trees. Beautiful stars at night, so quiet surrounding that it's good to just relax for a day. However, building is getting old, WiFi is weak, no hot spring facility in the hotel (although they can drive to the nearby Japanese ryokan hotel in the afternoon upon request). French restaurant serves dishes using local material, but nothing special nor unique. Breakfast buffet is good with some variations to choose from western and Japanese style.

LAMP is a guest house located in Nagano Prefecture, in Lake Nojiri. It is surrounded by nature, Nojiri spreads in front of. Feel free, cheap, and aims to guest house comfortable, outdoor school to be in the hotel's "Sunday Planning", you can enjoy outdoor activities various. It is possible to start a canoe at Lake Nojiri, to enjoy rafting, mountain climbing, hiking, picking wild vegetables, mushroom hunting, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. Room is equipped with the Wi-fi, you can enjoy the Internet and reading from the comfort of the cafe. Where unusual always, We hope you enjoying nature.

I caught a bad cough on my way to Nagano and they even drove us to the pharmacy to get medication. Ever so thankful ! The guesthouse is pretty self contained. They have a restaurant with pretty good food where we can have dinner. Not a lot of restaurants nearby , to get to one would be a long walk in the cold winter night if the short cuts are blocked by snow. I’d say try their restaurant and enjoy the cabin and fireplace atmosphere. In the winter morning, it’s beautiful to take a walk by the Nojiri lake. You might be able to catch a glimpse of a raccoon print in the snow if lucky! All in all, Guesthouse Lamp feels like a home away from home.

The perfect place for ski enthusiasts because of the 9 ski resorts all within a 1 hour drive from the lodge such as Nozawa Onsen, Myoko Kogen, Shiga kogen and many others. White Tree Lodge is located a easy 3 minute walk to Tangram ski circus which is connected to Madarao mountain.Tangram ski circus is a great for tree runs andto get away from the crowded slopes. We are Kiwi and Japanese couple, we aim to be your second home!

Reviewed By 872h_l_nesThe white tree lodge is a great place to stay. Near from Tangram ski resort, you can go skiing by foot or car and stay in a calm and peaceful place. It is perfectly clean and warm, the log house is incredible! Very warm welcome and helpful owners!
