A beautiful oasis
Reviewed By Angelika MOut of the three places where we stayed during our trip through the Extremadura we liked the Parador in Jarandilla best. The location and the place itself is really special, with a large beautiful courtyard, close to (above) the town. It's a bit like an oasis when you come in, quiet and restful. We were happy with our room although it wasn't very spacious. It was in the new wing and had everything we needed except for an elevator and a tea/coffeemaker. The beds were super comfy, the view was beautiful, there was a little sitting corner, a TV and closet and the wifi worked well. The bathroom was very spacious with a nice tub and two sinks and bidet - just perfect. We dined at the restaurant twice and found the food delicious, with lots of local specialties to choose from. It's nice that the bar is almost always open for drinks and smaller snacks. The breakfast selection was very nice as well with local cheeses and lots of choices of fresh delicious things. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. There is convenient parking right by the hotel and we really enjoyed exploring the surroundings, including the Greda mountains, Valle del Jerte, Plasencia, the little villages and Yuste from there. We'd love to come back, hopefully soon!

Reviewed By Freebird_7110 Minutes away from Jarandilla, in fact at around 4.5 kms is the San Giles hotel, right in the middle of nowhere, so I didn't expect much but I was truly amazed at the brand new and high quality standard of the building, that's luxury! The Wi-Fi is strong enough to stream Netflix in its full glory, the room is warm and spacious, the shower was great, and there is a total silence at night. Owners will serve you a top breakfast featuring home-made marmalade, and fresh-from-the-tree tangerines. Can't find any weaknesses. Maybe the TV in my room could have been bigger but honestly I have found my new go-to hotel in Jarandilla, and I usually go there 2 or 3 times per year. Fab!

Reviewed By AlbertoFasThis is 2 kms outside of town , but it's right next to a river, (ask for room 208 which overlooks the lovely river and the mountain range)-you can even keep the window open an it'll lull you to sleep. We had to call several times cause their computer was down, but all was OK in the end. Rooms are almost soundproof (except for the doors and hall), and the beds are very comfy. CAREFUL with the slippery shower!!!!(no non-slip adhesives). Breakfast was "so so" , the omelet (tortilla) looked like it was from 2 days ago, though...

The area is very rich in cultural & historical sites - Emperor Charles V final retreat palace, routes and villages related to that era. Natural sites abound, from the spectacular 'cherry blossom' in the adjacent Jerte Valley -yet to bloom- and the many area mountain trails, gorges and natural pools as recreational activities. The hotel sits on beautifully lansdcaped grounds facing a stream with roman bridge, ideal for outdoor events. Hotel rooms are reasonably furnished and comfortable with nice views. Currently under new management, improvements will hopefully bring full wifi & phone service..also better signage to get there! Very attentive reception service.

Perfect location for area but although room very clean bathroom and breakfast only average.
Reviewed By BlakewayAlthough bedroom perfectly clean, acceptable and reasonable size the bathroom crazy and with bad knees I had to leave the door open directly into the bedroom! Breakfast below average with not so good coffee making machine and no boiling water for tea. Owners very friendly but essentially no english spoken for help. As well as excellent location hotel also had very good restaurant and easy access to others within 10 minutes walk.

Great B&B for a few nights in Jarandilla
Reviewed By HampshirelassWe wanted to stay in Jarandilla on our trip through Spain to visit the Monisterio at Yuste. This hotel is perfect; spotlessly clean and run by a friendly couple who want you to enjoy their lovely hotel. Set on the edge of town, it is easy to find and has ample parking. The rooms are spacious on the 2nd floor with a powerful shower and efficient Air Conditioning. The towels are white and fluffy and smell lovely. The breakfast is substantial by Spanish standards and is included in the price. We were given a homemade map with the Monisterio and other interesting places to visit and had a really great day. We have stayed in the Parador in the past which is also lovely, but this is more rural and for my money more local and authentic.
