Reviewed By dirkvoyagerHotel Hofn was our launching point for venturing East to the Eastfjords. Warm, comfortable, good breakfast. Easy access to the harbor, Route 1 and south coast adventures. Easy check in and check out. Staff is helpful. Rooms, bed comfortable. No USB ports, not an issue, came prepared with 220 plug adapter and converters.

Comfortable for One Night
Reviewed By 2GirlsBikiniMe and my group (5 total) stayed here for one night during our South Coast Tour. The staff was excellent. Check-in was a breeze. Food was decent. Bed was not the most comfortable, but we all got some rest and was ready for our next day of travel.

Reviewed By sturla-marWe stayed twice at Guesthouse Dyngja which is situated right at the harbour. It is nice and clean with cooking facilities, free coffee, muesli and youghurt anr good beds. The host is so friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.

Reviewed By Sonia SWe stayed in the hostel (older building) for two nights. Everything was either old or has a hostel quality, which gives this place an old pension atmosphere and that totally worked for us. Room was not big but had enough space for everyone. Kitchen is big and well-equipped. Dining area in the sunroom is very charming and has a view of the mountains and the ocean (there is a path to the beach, you can take a walk). Pleasant stay, nice and helpful staff, great location, would recommend.

Wonderful guesthouse with an excellent restaurant
Reviewed By OnTheGoFLFamilyWe had booked Arnanes for one night as a stopover between Vik and Egilstaddir and it was a great choice. After a long day traveling and sightseeing, it was nice to be warmly greeted upon arrival and given the information we needed for our stay. The rooms are single story rooms in a long row, with parking outside your door but we couldn't hear any outside noise when we were in the room. The room was a nice size and very clean. The hotel location was quiet, with just a little noise from the road. Arnanes is just outside Hofn so we chose to eat in their restaurant. The hotel was fully booked and it seemed like everyone else did the same. I chose the lamb and it was the best lamb meal I had in 2 weeks traveling around Iceland. Breakfast in the morning was a small buffet with plenty of options, although the area was a little crowded to maneuver. I would book here again if returning to the area.

Reviewed By JodieKTWe stayed for one night while driving the ring road. Despite arriving quite late we were greeted warmly and told that we could still reserve a table for an evening meal. We ate a lovely hearty meal, using locally sourced ingredients. The accommodation were little bungalows, they were warm, the beds were comfortable and the shower was great. All this with views across the glacier on one side of the guesthouse and across the sea on the other. What more could you ask for? Lovely.

Room was comfortable and clean with small bathroom, tea & coffee but no TV. Dinner was enjoyable with good service. Alas, breakfast was okay but lack of staff attentiveness let the side down with food running out and dirty tables. Signage to hotel could also be improved.

Reviewed By Celz22We loved this place. Our room and all the facilities were super clean. We even got a TV in our room. The staff was super welcoming, and the breakfast that we ordered was more than we hoped for. We were able to take some for the road. Definitely recommend.
