Nice caravan park but dated chalets
Reviewed By limeclawThe chalets were dated, but large and roomy. The bedroom had a very comfortable bed, good bedside tables and reading light, plenty of storage space and a good working air conditioner. The bathrooms were very dated, but clean and functional, but some area’s needed maintenance. Good lighting, a nice quality hair drier and good supply of towels. The kitchenette has a large fridge, stove top with rangehood, pots & pans. Toaster & kettle, microwave and a limited supply of crockery & cutlery. The lounge area had a nice two seater and nice large television and a separate air conditioner that worked really well. The outdoor area, table and two chairs and own BBQ and parking was right outside the chalet which was very convenient. The chalets were good for a short stay, however needs some maintenance. The shower head and the basin tap continually dripped, it did not matter how tight you shut the taps they water just continually dripped. The bathroom door did not shut properly and you continually had to force the door shut. There was an uneven tile in the bathroom floor that jutted out and you continually scraped your foot on it as it was right in the door way making it a trip Hazzard. The dining table had chip marks and gouges in the table top, it is quite polarising when you first look at the table and quite off putting, and surely that could be patched up some how so that it does not look so awful. My only other gripe is the scant availability of crockery and cutlery – only the bare minimum was provided, one plate, one cup, one glass per person. What is you needed another plate to serve food on? Or invite a guest over for a meal? And continually washing your one mug or one glass is actually quite annoying and the only place where I have experienced a one place setting per person in a chalet? The park itself was well located. Two beautiful pools, plenty of laundry rooms with good quality washing machines and driers, iron & ironing board. Great communal facilities that were very clean, the park was well set out for campers and caravaners and plenty of BBQ’s and loads of on site parking. Overall, it is a very nice park, just the chalets need a little TLC. The staff we encountered were very nice and accommodating.

Reviewed By limeclawDated but very clean and functional. The rooms are large, well appointed, beds are comfortable with clean linens. Good working air conditioners and nice television set. The bathrooms are dated but very clean with good water pressure and separate toilet. The service is friendly and efficient. There is plenty of on site parking. Guest laundry and pool. Walking distance to the foreshore and town centre. Good value continental breakfast included in the accommodation price. Ticks all the boxes for good value accommodation.

Shark Bay Cottages consists of 12 holiday shacks in an idyllic location right across from the beach on Denham’s main street. The cottages range from a one-room studio, perfect for a couple, to three-bedroom configurations which sleep up to 8 people. All are fully self-contained with cooking facilities and air-conditioning. Rustic, clean, comfortable, and great value, and the views from our porch was spectacular. Can thoroughly recommend. The current owners are helpful and friendly. We’ll be back and would stay here again.

50 metres from the beach in Denham... are Wildsights Villas, a collection of private, cavity brick and tiled roof villas that are spacious, spotless, central, cheery, inviting, fully self contained, self-catering and only 15 minutes drive from Monkey Mia. Situated in Durlacher Street, just 30 metres from the waterfront of Knight Terrace, the main street in central Denham. The Villas are the most centrally located, self-catering accommodation in Denham. Every facility is within a 300 metre short stroll along the waterfront and a glorious, safe beach is only 50 metres away. There is a comfort edge provided by the side street location off the Knight Terrace waterfront. Shark Bay’s southerlies are very reliable and vigorous, often making the south-facing foreshore untenable, whilst around the corner, in Durlacher Street, Villa guests are sheltered and free to enjoy their patio settings. Walk across the street for a swim. Breathe the fresh sea air and enjoy a sundowner with your front row seat of glorious sunsets. Each Villa is fully equipped to be your home away from home, with TV, air conditioning, ceiling fan, linen (plus spares), crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. The built-in kitchen has a full size, 4 burner gas stove with grill and oven; a 240 litre fridge/freezer; microwave oven. The Villas' floors are full tiled throughout to facilitate thorough cleaning. Satellite digital TV provides access to over 40 channels Australia-wide. Each Villa is fully insect screened, air conditioned and has ceiling fans. Each has its own patio, complete with outdoor setting of table and chairs. Each has its own laundry and private clothes drying courtyard.

We again had a lovely holiday in one of the well-equipped homely villas. They really do have that comfortable, I'm home again feel. The villas are literally a stones throw from the sea and walking distance to every facility in Denham. The owners, Fran and Harvey are lovely friendly people who enjoy a chat. Just so welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are about to book again for next year. Keith and Helen

Beautiful resort in a beautiful part of the world
Reviewed By limeclawIf you want to see dolphins, you need to stay at the RAC Monkey Mia Resort. The resort caters for everyone on all budgets. We stayed in the Garden View Room, which was very spacious, contained a queen & single bed, the beds were very comfortable, with clean linens and decent pillows. Kitchenette was well equipped with microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery & cutlery. The bathrooms are modern and clean, but very compact. Choice of two shower heads – regular and a rain shower head with very hot water and good water pressure. Big fluffy towels and ample toiletries. The resort has an on site restaurant, general store, two big pools, lovely set up for kids with a play area, put-put golf and located right on the beach near the dolphin viewing area. Onsite laundry with washing machine and driers available at a small cost and plenty of line space to dry your washing in the sun. Loads of BBQ’s and seating area’s to relax in. Caravaners and campers are well looked after and it was nice to see that the resort is pet friendly in certain area’s of the park. The staff are very efficient & friendly. Beautiful resort in a beautiful part of the world.

Reviewed By b_le176Tried to contact owners over several days to alter stay due to covid and only ever got a response saying to text them. Sent text as requested got a response saying they would call later and still waiting 3 days later. Ended up getting message from Booking.com to tell us the place had reported us as a no show without explanation. Would of been good if they had been contactable. Claim to live onsite but got told otherwise by some other local businesses. Wouldn’t mind losing some money but place demands full payment weeks in advance

Firstly the physical location of the units is good as you can walk to the beach, town centre etc, however the "entrance/driveway" to the unit we stayed in was not very clear. There is a very aggressive man who lives next door so beware! Once we figured out where to park and entered the unit a very strong pungent smell hit us in the face. The smell was all throughout the unit. The wifi did not work, the bathroom/laundry door did not close properly, the back door did not lock properly and the blinds on the front window did not close fully. Next door had the aircon on and it was very loud, we could hear it all night. The shower head was good and there is a washing machine. Overall the unit is in need of a refurbishment and I most likely won't stay here again.

Overwhelming Underwhelmed!
Reviewed By johannavb123All up there was several things that just came together to make our stay average. For the money we paid I would have expected better. Our room had single beds pushed together - the split between the beds was uncomfortable to sleep with as we found ourselves wedged between the two beds often during the night. Further on bedding, at the price of the room I don’t think it is unreasonable to expect a doona cover as opposed to a doona between two sheets. There were no power-points near the bed which although not a major issue was still inconvenient. The room itself was plain, and had we had wanted to watch some tv, we would have had to sit on the bed – there was a couch in the room however not in front of the tv. The room next to ours seemed like it was being used to house staff as they were constantly coming in and out of the room and being loud – the entryway door which we shared was always left open by the occupants consequentially and was letting in heat and lots of bugs. The laundry facilities we had were filthy. Lastly, parking isn’t allocated, and we had to park a long way from our room – whilst this isn’t ideal for my partner and I we managed, however for others not as able this would be a big issue.

Wonderfull Place to stay.

Rooms were modern, very clean and everything worked well.The restaurant was very nice and the fodd and servcie was excellent. We hired a Nissan Navara 4WD from Exmouth Escape, it was almost brand new and great for everything planned to do. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times - highly recommended.
