Great place, family atmosphere, nice staff, very good food
Reviewed By Guide62187395597Ee really liked this place. We came late and still they organised a small diner for us. After 6 hours drive it was so much appreciated. Nice service in rooms and restaurant. So relaxing. Direct access to Thermals Bath were we spend a very relaxing moment after 1 day horse riding.

Reviewed By wunnspeedWe booked the GuardaVal on the same weekend as we were to hike up to the Lischana Hütte. Talk about going from rustic and sparse to having anything and everything at your fingertips. From the first moment we walked through the front door (dirty and stinky from hiking in the heat), we were warmly welcomed, offered a welcome drink and given a short orientation about the hotel and accompanying services (which includes many... lift tickets, free public transport, free entry to the local mineral baths and more). Our room was beautiful and had an amazing view to the south and the mountains. Frankly, they have turned service into an art. I had mentioned in an email that it was our anniversary and because of that, they offered us a free drink with dinner and more. Simply put... there's no question that we'll be staying at the GuardaVal again in the future.

Reviewed By Heide Slocation: you can hear the stream right outside the hotel (but very little traffic), it's just a few steps to the bus stop and the main street; room: the 2nd building is an old, cosy Engadin house - the single room was very light and modern; breakfast: all you could expect; staff: friendly and helpful caveat: if you book a room here, you should tell them your height if you are above 1.80m - the ceilings in the 2nd building are quite low

Our hotel in the village of Scuol, situated in the beautiful Lower Engadin Valley, and enjoy a holiday that lacks for nothing. Located directly at the valley station of the Motta Naluns cable car, those who enjoy an active holiday will find the hotel an ideal starting point for an thrilling holiday. The nearby ski slopes (80 km), summer and winter hiking trails and bike trails are easily accessible from our hotel. Just 2 minutes walk to the train and bus station. The welfare of our guests is of the utmost importance for us.
Perfect spot to explore the Scuol area
Reviewed By Anja MThe hotel is located near the train and the cable car station so if you travel by public transport, that's awesome. To go into town, you can either catch the free bus or simply walk there in about 10 minutes. The hotel is clean, the room was comfortable and it's even got a small spa area. It would've got a fifth star if they had put my luggage in the room but that's a small detail. I'll definitely go back there another time.

Very cute hotel for a very reasonable price

It is located in a very ancient house and the common spaces are furnished with traditional furniture, which provides for a very typical mountain experience. We stayed in a double room-studio, with kitchen included, which was spacious, comfortable and with a nice view on a small square and the mountains in the background. The furniture was very nice, with a small "living corner" with couches and coffee table. We didn't use the kitchen but it looked fully-furnished. The bathroom and toilets were in the corridor, but it wasn't a problem for us. And the breakfast was delcious! We will definitely return there!

Also on Monday, there is only one restaurant open in the village in the summer so you will need to reserve. But we loved everything else about the hotel, the service was great, the beds were comfy and Guarda itself is very special

Reviewed By SuMeylanWe stayed there for 3 nights at the beginning of January, the location is perfect for skiers. Very friendly staff, great services, delicious food, wonderful breakfast. Thanks a lot to the owner of the hotel, who was very helpful to us when our daughter had a small accident at the snow piste.

Family Ski tour
Reviewed By FmschweryOne of the best hotels we stayed at. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The room we had, has a cool garden terrace that leads to the sun deck with great views of the alp and the kids have a garden and trampolin area for playing. It's a lovely little town close to the ski area so you have both -- a place to have peace and quiet and action. I had time to de-stress while my kids go on their ski tour. Love the small library they have with interesting books and the food is also great! We love our long weekend stay here. Will definitely come back and recommend.
