Reviewed By liucy752Stay here for one night for an academic conference. The conference venue is average but the banquet is great. The room is spacious clean and tidy. Staff are professional and friendly. Service is good. Breakfast is average. This is a nice family hotel. There is a merry-go-round, an electric car racing track, a grass and soccer field, and an indoor kid’s playroom. The hotel is located at suburban area, a little bit far away from the station. It is suitable for coach tours or self drive tours, not so convenient for backpackers.

Reviewed By 666visitorWe were looking forward to staying at this hotel, and, at first, were quite impressed by the phone calls the hotel made to us, wishing to confirm - and reconfirm - our arrival: this attentiveness seemed to correspond well to the fairly high price that we were paying for the stay. After arriving, though, we felt the hotel fell short of the expectations. While the room was spacious and clean, we were quite shocked by the cold and bland breakfast food (overcooked eggs, a cold tasteless sandwich, "fake orange juice", cheap, low-quality pickled vegetables, cold french-fries, and things like that). There was no tableware to be found in the room (although the breakfast came with some awful plastic spoons and cheap bamboo chopsticks - like those one gets at night markets), we were offered 2-in-1 instant coffee - which simply does not seem to match the 15,000 NT (ca. 400 USD) we paid for the stay. The hotel claims to have two areas for children - in one of them, there are 5 (or 6) slow bulldozer-like vehicles, but one ONE may be operated at a time, which results in long lines. On the 7th floor, one can find another “playground”, consisting of a broken fussball table, two children’s cars (the playtime for which is almost not managed at all), some dirty-looking LEGO, and a trash can that was drowning under trash. Outside the hotel, the hotel trash containers were kept right in the parking lot, which forced one to breathe unpleasant smells every time one parked the vehicle. The service offered by the staff was rather cold, as the people did not seem to be very interested in doing their job right. One could often see the staff playing with their mobile phones. All in all, we feel we paid far more than the quality we received called for. Service-wise, this was like a random 2-star rund-down hotel, which was rather disappointing, and were surprised by the many positive reviews. Perhaps something has happened? Perhaps the management has to be reviewed? We don’t know. But it would be difficult to return to such a place, or recommend it to others.

They won some sort of “most Instagram friendly hotel” because they have a pretty lobby. Now they think they’re “the sh*t”. No compromise, no hospitality. Just a “take it or leave it” attitude 2) everything is extra pay or requiring advanced booking. guests need to “pre-book” their vaunted rooftop bar. No special access for in-house guests. Gym use requires a trip to the lobby in advance 3) from online pictures you’d think all rooms had nice bathrooms. Not true. Check the fine print. Our room not only didn’t have a tub, it didn’t have a separate shower stall. Just a wet industrial bathroom 4) it seems that double beds are standard. If you don’t request you won’t get a single queen bed 5) inadequate parking. We had to park in a supermarket parking lot three blocks away because the 20 spots the hotel provided were full 6) full of screaming children. Not sure what special might be going on but hotel full of yelling families and screaming kids running around. 7) in the middle of nowhere. You can’t get anywhere interesting by foot and there are no taxis 8) And to top it all off, it’s not cheap! It’s actually one of the more expensive hotels in town

Reviewed By Ben69059Thia budget hotel is located in a building opposite chiayi TRA station, on the 10 floor. Very convenient. Many shops and dinning outlets nearby, within walking distance. Breakfast from the hotel is free and is good.

Reviewed By AshL536We love this hotel for its affordability and space that we stayed two nights prior going to Alisha. Bed is huge and comes with a standard bath. Small side table and sofa is just next to bed. There is a local market nearby, couple of minutes walk and do try the local breakfast items favored by local that is less than NTD 50. Must try Taiwan pineapples that is super sweet. There is basement carpark in the hotel FOC. Lift to room level is access by hotel key and it appears no night guard after wee hours. Toilet seat comes with bidet and heated.

Nice Hotel located in a central area
Reviewed By hawaiitraveller1Nice Prince Hotel is located in a central area of Chiayi. Close to 7-11. Nice Plaza Shopping center next door has an underground walkway access from the hotel. Shopping plaza contains a Daiso Store and Uniqlo in addition to other stores and eateries. The eateries are located in the lowest level and contains Mos burger and other places to eat. The hotel is close to a Costco, a 5 minute drive away. There is even a KFC and a Mcd's across the street. The hotel is interesting, square shaped with a view of the 5th floor buffet area below. Excellent breakfast buffet with different areas for breads, drinks and breakfast items. There is an exercise room on the top floor, complete with exercise machines and an outdoor pool. The rooms are very nice inside. Refrigerator contains bottled water. The bathroom contains a glass enclosed shower and another glass enclosed toilet. There is a full sized tub. Nightly rates were very reasonable. Negatives: The bathroom is a little worn, the caulking was cracking and need of redo/repair. While the hotel is nice guess I expected a little more "niceties" in a Prince Hotel. I would rate this hotel as a 4 star hotel.

Great hotel with great service
Reviewed By Gianluca FSpent few nights at Yuh Tong, where my wife and I celebrated our wedding banquet. The service was absolutely great and the staff very attentive and helpful, walking the extra mile for everything we needed, in particular Coco was great! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, location is good to explore Chiayi and the surrounding areas. Overall highly recommend, best hotel in Chiayi.

Simply fabulous stay
Reviewed By ykh_malaysiaThe hotel is situated in a quiet area away, just off the main road, easily found since it is the only hotel there. The reception lobby/restaurant is on the 6th floor. The reception was very warm and friendly. Check-in was a breeze since the staff had pre-prepared most information on the necessary form. Rooms are on the 3rd and 5th (reassigned from 4th) floor. The room is large and the layout and entire room beautifully furnished, evoking a very comfortable feel. It was very clean and tidy, and the bed was very comfortable. The view afforded a slightly blocked view of the lake. The bathroom is reasonably big and is very clean with a hot/cold water standing shower. Wifi is free and parking is available and also free. There is complimentary water and coffee/tea facilities. Breakfast was good and very delicious. It is also handicapped friendly. Overall, the entire hotel is fabulously clean, neat and tidy.

Comfortable and cosy

The young manager was very helpful and sweet, the room modern and comfortable (and big!!), and the yummy breakfast very filling and healthy. I would highly recommend.
