Lovely hotel in a lovel town
Reviewed By Derek SWe hadn't realised that we had booked an apartment in a separate building about 100 meters from the actual hotel. This wasn't a problem for us the apartment was very good but it was up steep stairs with narrow treads so might not suit everyone. We came by bicycle. Staff helpful. Cycles were parked in their private car park but as the gate to the car park was generally open we were glad we had brought a stiff lock with us - just in case. Good breakfast. The stay represented good value and we would come again and would recommend to others.

Reviewed By CookieJerseySpent a wonderful couple days at this Hotel! This was a return visit after 47 years, we last stayed here on honeymoon in 1972, and we were not disappointed! A delightful, french hotel, with great ambience,beautiful gardens and excellent accommodation, perfectly situated! Decor although in the traditional style was light & airy! A charming, helpful Proprieter, even before we arrived and this continued . The complimentary breakfast was excellent! The beautiful porcelain crockery, with Logo, traditional french coffee cups & the best coffee in Dinan! Nicolas was on hand to check all your requirements! He recommended a couple of restaurants and he made a booking for us at Le Fleur du Sel - just across the Square which was excellent! We dined on oysters, guinea fowl, and a perfect dessert. Accompanied by a great wine! Dinan is a typical old french town, beautifully preserved and we sampled ‘Le Petit Train’ which gave a different perspective & greater insight into its history. We will be back and we won’t wait another 47 years!

Ancienne maison de tanneurs, le Logis du Jerzual domine le bas de la rue du Petit Fort ; ce qui lui offre un ensoleillement plus agréable avec une vue panoramique intéressante sur les différents toits des maisons environnantes et jardins alentours mais aussi sur certains monuments historiques de la ville (remparts, les clochers de la Basilique et de la Tour de l'Horloge). La demeure est à équidistance de l'enceinte médiévale et du port de plaisance (promenades en bateau ou à pied sur les chemins de halage. Les chambres ont toutes plus de 20 m² et sont décorées avec un mobilier et des objets de famille présentés dans un décor simple aux couleurs lumineuses choisies pour les peintures, boiseries et étoffes. Dans l'office les visiteurs peuvent se faire un thé ou une tisane à l'heure qui leur convient, en dehors des horaires du petit déjeuner.

Reviewed By joshd362Sylvie at Le Logis du Jerzual has been fantastic to us. We'd booked a room with them, but had to cancel due to COVID-19. She has been very helpful and flexible, and in the end gave us a full refund. We are still planning to visit the area later this year, and are hoping to stay even longer in Dinan that we had originally planned--in part to stay at Le Logis du Jerzual as a way of saying, "thank you" for treating us well.

Charming, very friendly hotel in Dinan
Reviewed By David WWe stayed here for four nights, using it as a perfect base to visit not only Dinan but also Saint Malo and other nearby places on the Brittany coast. The hotel was recently taken over by a young couple, Kevin and Roxana, who renovated all the rooms - we had a Chambre Superieure which was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast (Euros 10.50) was a good buffet in a nice, bright breakfast room or outside on the patio. There is free parking in the road outside and in neighbouring streets - we never had any trouble with parking. Finally, Kevin and Roxana are extremely welcoming and friendly - we felt at home as soon as we arrived, and almost like we were staying with friends. We would definitely come back here again!!

Lovely hotel, with great staff, in a fantastic scenic location
Reviewed By Mick1965We were let down by our accommodation (found through Booking.com) so went looking for a room for the night at the last minute. Booking.com also let us book a balcony room here but when we arrived it was already full. After a bit of discussion the staff managed to shuffle things around to find us a standard room overlooking the pool. Service from the on site Mercure team was fantastic and they managed to rescue us from a very stressful situation. The hotel is very well located and nicely finished with free parking, an outdoor pool and jacuzzi. Lots of places to eat locally, but the choice of food and drink in the hotel was also great. We had never been to Dinan before but found it to be a very attractive and interesting place for a short stay and not just a place to stop off near the ferries!

We had a family room in the new wing and were SO impressed. Spotlessly clean, modern and large. Two bedrooms and large bathroom. Lots of windows and natural light. Staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. Pool was brand new with great sauna. Small but fun for a splash and cool off. Great location for ease of access to other parts of Brittany. We went to Rennes, Dinard, St Malo and for some out of town shopping. No trip more than an hour on the excellent roads and motorways. Restaurant was nice. Great service. Good food. Children’s portions really generous. Can’t speak more highly of this hotel! Equally good for couples by the way.

Lovely place but
Reviewed By PoggibonziThe historical building was restored with great taste. The place was not hard to find as it was right by Saint Saveur Church and Jerome gave excellent directions. Adjacent Street parking was easy to find. A short walk away are cafes, pizzerias and 2 very good restaurants— Fleur de Sel and Cantorberry (reservations recommended). Dinan is a big town, I found the ramparts, castle, especially the pretty port area too far to walk but then I walk with a cane. Living in a well restored old building has its pluses and minuses. Narrow winding staircase with steps not wide enough for my size 9 feet, really heavy doors, uneven floors. My “king size” bed is sized like a full bed. The mattress needs to be replaced; it is no longer flat but slopes down on the side, I felt I have to fight gravity just to change my sleeping position. On the other hand my room was huge, bright, airy and had a lot of lovely character. WiFi worked well. Breakfast is very well done. Jerome is extremely attentive and helpful. 15 years ago, I’d have loved this place. But today with less agility and more finicky about sleep and functional practicality for myself, not so.
