Great place to stay

I've stayed here a lot over the years with work and love returning. The staff are brilliant, they're welcoming and friendly despite managing staffing issues and copping the brunt of some entitled boomers that sadly I've witnessed a few times now. The rooms are clean and comfortable, spa baths aren't my thing but the showers have good pressure and there's a country charm to the property. The wifi has its moments but first world problems! Happy hour is a must with $5 pints of the local pilsner and even better in winter when the fire is lit in the bar.

Great accommodation at a decent price

I was looking for an overnight stopover for our long drive, and knew that we’d be getting in later than many receptions are open. The 24/7 check in was super easy, the beds were really comfy, bathroom was fantastic, and it was pretty quiet for a main road. Would definitely look to stay again if I was headed to Clare in the future.

incorrect site allocation

Reviewed By Bceeingu

We made a booking and checked in, reception desk outside, given a map and a powered site allocation. Drive to our allocated site, only to find someone was already on it, tried to ring the office, no answer, walked back to the office and came across a park worker who had radio contact with the office, office allocated another site, off we go, no, this site has our van drawbar on the road, worker contacts office again, another site is allocated, off we go, this new site is the same as the last, drawbar on the road, worker contacts management again, management say, put you van sideways on the side and park vehicle on the adjoining site, now we are taking up two sites? Not good business. Feeling fed up by this time, think this the only solution, clearly management are not coming out of the office to sort this out. Lots of other empty sites, so unsure what was going on. Finally placed the van sideways on the site, and in the middle of setting up, a chap rocks up as asks us if we are leaving? We say no just setting up why? He said the office told this site was empty and he could check it out. Numerous times we saw campers and caravanners arrive and struggle to negotiate sites that are not suitable, some persisted and others simply gave up. We have travelled extensively for many years and this site allocation is the worse we have ever seen, not once did management come on site or attempt to assist those struggling with inappropriate sites. It’s the only park in town

Way above expectations

So glad I chose to stay here. These cottages are cleverly and beautifully renovated, but you can still see the structure of history underneath. One bedroom cottage was HUGE and extremely comfortable, with a queen bed and a single, plus a sitting room with reverse cycle and television. Large shower cubicle. Kitchen had everything I needed including fridge and microwave. Toiletries and coffee/tea supplies included. Great location 2 mins from cafes in the main street. Parking at the door. There are BBQs and a laundry outside as well. They have accessible cottages too. And it was very reasonably priced.

Lovely Stay for 5x Couples

Reviewed By Seagull R

We basically took over this slice of paradise for 5 nights. Five couples - all long time friends - visited the Adelaide Hills area for a family wedding; hired a van; and stayed in the Clare Valley. We found these cottages on line and it was just perfect. We spent the days visiting the wineries and the nights sitting around one of the 2 barbecues drinking the day’s purchases (and eating way to much!). Every day we walked into Clare for a coffee, and for groceries when necessary. Plus a restaurant or two. The cottages were all well presented with plenty on offer for breakfast (bacon, eggs, bread/butter/jam, juice, cereal/milk, tea bags/coffee pods) and all the utensils you need. Our cottage was clean & tidy with good wifi, plenty of hot water and a large comfy bed; plus a spa bath; shower (we were in Lily cottage). Couldn’t be happier.
