Reviewed By charlottedX6143ZAI stopped here to break up a long journey through France and it was perfect. Clean, comfortable and very easy. Check-in was super fast. I parked right outside and slept SO SO well. I stayed with my dog who was very welcome. Breakfast was nice and it was all beautifully quiet and spaced out. Perfect.

Good to be back after 3 years absence due to pandemic
Reviewed By stevemacBelperIt was really nice to be back in this lovely hotel.Situated in an ideal position just a few minutes from the the centre.There’s ample parking but it can get full pretty quickly.We we’re in a well equipped room 310,it can suffer from people chatting late at night below the room as it’s sort of above one of the the reception entrances and there is some road noise but as it’s situated close to a major road junction there’s not much you can do about traffic noise.It was nice sit out in the garden and have an early evening drink.We have stayed here twice and we have found eating in at the restaurant a bit expensive so we walk into town and find a good establishment like Pizzalberto.Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Reviewed By SheilacabaleroThe hotel d’Angleterre is a long established, comfortable hotel in the centre of Bourges. Service is excellent and there is a garage attached with 8 places. You can also park in the street although you have to pay during the day. It’s a short walk to the cathedral and other attractions as well as shops and restaurants but the area around the hotel itself is very quiet. Highly recommended

Reviewed By NYCWGVThe Hotel Le Panoramic is an updated hotel in a historic city. The rooms are functional, modern, and, many, with amazing views. It was a nice place to stay and the breakfast was ample. I just wish the front desk had a bit more warmth and hospitality - it was non-existent. Upon check in, I was never told that I would need a security code, written on the small paper wallet that held the room key, to enter the hotel if returning after 11:00 p.m. I found out the hard way, when I returned to the hotel at 11:45 p.m. on a cold November Saturday night - the keypad didn't ever have an emergency number. Luckily, other guests arrived about twenty minutes later and I was able to get in.

A good and convenient stopover
Reviewed By Seaside282900I often stay here for it’s convenience on the way home, sited not far from the physical centre of France and visible from the Autoroute Péage station, ensuring an easy arrival for a weary traveler. . It is reliably comfortable, clean and with a simple but excellent Breakfast. Staff are friendly and competent and helpful.

Located close to the highway and 5 minutes driving from the city center of Vierzon, the hotel has a contemporary design in the spirit " Recup " called "Seconde Vie", with different objects diverted from their original use. Ideal for leisure and business trips, you can also enjoy our indoor heated pool, our fitness center and sauna. A catering services is available at the bar or in your room.
Disappointing service
Reviewed By Myska74We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is situated near the highway which was fine for us but in case you are sensitive to noise, it might not be the best option. On a positive side, our family room was spacious, with a very comfortable queen bed and a sofa bed. The bathroom was clean. We only regretted that it was not possible to use the shower as it was broken. It was annoying as we arrived in the night after a 6 hour drive. Fortunately, the issue was solved quickly the following day. On a more negative side, the hotel has serious issues with service. The staff is nice and friendly and tried their best. We would like to thank a blond lady in a red shirt who was very kind and really tried to make up for the restaurant problems. It seems that the hotel is understaffed and despite the efforts of the staff, the service at the breakfast was a disaster. Every time we arrived, there were no plates and cutlery. Guests had to wait for 10-15 minutes to get them (in principle all had to wait for dishwasher to finish its cycle). The staff was running between the kitchen, breakfast restaurant and reception causing delays at all fronts. Similarly, in the evening, we gave up after waiting 15-20 minutes for somebody to take our order at the bar. Housekeeping was chaotic as one day the room was cleaned and the other not. So overall, a bit disappointing.

Great Central Location but Toilets need attention
Reviewed By chrisprenticeWe stopped here twice in October 2021. The satnav tried to take us down one way streets but we managed to find it! Great central location - you can stroll into the old town following the hotel map and guiding yourself. A very pleasant visit. On the first visit we rejected one room because there was an unpleasant smell from the bathroom but the replacement room was fine. We booked twin beds but I agree with a previous review about them being a double bed in all but name! On both visits breakfast was great. On our second visit we had an evening meal because few restaurants were open on a Sunday night in late October but it wasn't very memorable and the price for a mediocre glass of wine was expensive. On our second visit we also had the same problem with smells from the bathroom and a toilet that did not flush very well. On checkout we met someone else who had the same problem. I hope that they have fixed it now. Parking was no problem in October but I can imagine that it would be difficult in the season. We lunched at La Mere Poule in Bourges which we really liked. Overall - a mixed bag - some good and some not so good.

Reviewed By katjakG567PMWhen I booked a room, I asked for a quiet room. The room I got was facing a busy street where was traffic through the night and it was very loud. When I asked if it is possible to get a more quiet room the owner said that it is possible if I pay more or maybe I should stay in some countryside hotel. So lousy room and unfriendly service. Not a place to come back to.

Really good room for the price
Reviewed By SarahC0805Most importantly, our room was much better than those we have had in other budget hotels: spacious, big and comfortable bed, excellent bathroom, quiet and efficient a/c, recently renovated/decorated and very clean. Only reservation is the shortage of storage for clothes (a rail and two very high shelves not suitable for anyone of average height!), but not a real problem for 1 or 2 night stay. Secure car parking for €7, good value in city centre. Included breakfast served in more expensive sister hotel opposite: a very good and varied cold buffet with boiled eggs. A few weaknesses lost the 5th star: reception is in hotel opposite (could have been informed on booking?), this and the location of the parking caused three drives around the block! No lift: we just had an overnight bag, but shifting suitcases up 3 flights of quite awkward stairs from the car park would have been difficult for anyone.
