Good Halfway Stop
Reviewed By 218fritzrWe drive from Florida to Kentucky several times a year and Calhoun area is about halfway when we head north - our goal is to get north of Atlanta on the first day. This is our first stop at this Holiday Inn but our experience was a good one. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a great breakfast bar - real scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, fruit, coffee, juice - you want it, it's there. It would probably cost $30 for 2 at a Waffle House. Our stay was great and of course we visited Buc-ee's which is a Love's or Pilot on major steroids. 120 gas pumps says it all.

Reviewed By PeggyS574Not too bad. I was concerned after reading the most recent reviews, but had a good experience. Checking in was easy. My reservation was ready with first floor room as requested. Room was clean, bed and pillows comfortable, towels soft. Many places to eat nearby. All I needed was a place to sleep overnight while traveling home from Florida. I would stay again.

Family Disney Trip Passthrough- Not good!
Reviewed By KatessaMWe were passing through for an overnight stay from our Disney Trip. Exhausted, we were happy to sleep! When we checked into the room, it smelled like someone had JUST finished taking a dump in our bathroom, and the toilet paper roll was used! …but we were so tired we just Lysol’d the place down and called it a night. When we took showers in the morning, the steam revealed some written profanity on the mirror, which means the mirrors were not wiped down either. Just gross overall. There was hardly any lighting to see our stuff, just dark and dreary. I give this two stars because the breakfast staff was really nice at least. For $200+ go somewhere ELSE!!!

Located off I-75, the La Quinta Inn Calhoun is just 2 miles east of historic downtown and several area attractions. Less than an hour drive north to Chattanooga or south to Atlanta.
Good hotel
Reviewed By FLPapaThe lobby was very clean and inviting. I asked the desk clerk for as quiet a room as possible. He was quick and efficient at checking us in. When we entered the room, there was a distinct pet odor. We knew this hotel is pet-friendly, but the odor in that room was offensive. We went back to the desk and was immediately given another room which was much better. It seems housekeeping needs to be a little more careful in cleaning. There were food particles on one side of the bed and cup rings in the bedside table. My wife cleaned that up with a tissue. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was nice. The temperature of the shower water was a little inconsistent-there would be bursts of cold. Our biggest issue is that breakfast ended at 9:00, and we missed it. I suppose I should have asked, but typically the desk clerk tells that when checking in. Next time, I will be sure to ask. We would stay here again, though, as we had a very quiet, comfortable night.

This hotel is right next to the interstate with many dining options within walking distance. The only drawback is a skimpy breakfast bar, to go.

Baymont Inn & Suites Calhoun is very conveniently located right off the I-75 exit #312 within walking distance to area restaurants and many shopping options including many outlets our accommodation provides very clean and comfortable newly renovated interior corridor rooms including full hot breakfast with many mordern amenities including meeting rooms and fitness center.

Reviewed By whodsonsrThe bathroom was not cleaned properly. The sink was dirty and the faucet had crud on it. The toilet paper roll holder had stains and crud on the bottom of it. The keycard give to us would not work. We had to return to the desk to have them redone.

Reviewed By jerbuffaloThis appears to be recently renovated. A traditional 80’s layout. The room was comfortable and clean. Actually, breakfast was quite nice with everything offered. The break room was clean as well. Location was good and the area was quiet. Decent spot.

Reviewed By Chicagonative_7Driving through the south we found nearly every motel sold out except this one. Budget hotel with a recent cosmetic update but towels with holes, lousy pillows, moist carpet near the ac and a strong smell of room deodorizer and mustiness. Checked in and slept 6 hours and then out! Despite some ok reviews this is a tough sell.
