Reviewed By Gwilym42The hotel is difficult to find, because it’s location does not correspond to GPS identification of address. On the positive side the service was very friendly, but the room was cramped and looked tired. Food was good, but the main course was not the one I ordered!

Terminal rudeness!
Reviewed By Elisabetta RWe booked a superior double room for 4 reasons : 1.Garden view 2. Air conditioning 3. WiFi 4. Secure parking When we checked in we were told that secure parking was available. That's good, but having to pay extra is an irritant and an insult. Room we were given had a view of the street. We discovered late into the night that the air conditioning did not work. We had to move without help in the middle of the night, because it was an unusually warm evening. The front desk admitted being aware that the air conditioning on tge 3rd floor was not working. At the same time, when asking for the WiFi code to conduct some urgent business, the front desk reply was '' il n'y a pas de WiFi ''. So, one out of four. When settling our bill in the morning we encountered quite the rudest front of house manager who, when we reported these inconsistencies in our reservation, simply responded with a shrug and an arrogance that suggested he was not a simple employee, but possibly an owner or senior manager. Despite the information in their advertised facilities air conditioning is not on because of the weather ; a garden view is not guaranteed and despite what we were told by the front desk the night before, he told us there is WiFi. However no WiFi was available when we checked again. His attitude was that we had been stupid to believe the listing in the Internet, and we should have phoned the hotel to confirm that all the facilities we were expecting and had paid for were in fact available. It was our mistake! Genuinely the worse customer service my husband or I have encountered in many years of travelling. Avoid this place at all costs!

Convenient for the town centre
Reviewed By David-in-Kent-UKWe stayed at the Ibis Styles, Bourg en Bresse, on a cold, foggy night. The hotel suggested a convenient parking area with a charger for our electric car, and also suggested a fine restaurant (very near-by) for dinner. A friendly welcome, and a comfortable night.

Reviewed By rhw926Our second stay here in this lovely hotel. The rooms are beautiful and very clean, the staff are charming and the breakfast is delicious. They are quietly renovating the outside of this old building and it is a joy to see.

For one night we had chosen a small room, but there was everything you can need, with a small balcony too. At walking distance from the center and its various bistros and restaurants (some others near the Monastery)

Reviewed By salmoneaterA very nice hotel in the centre of town. Stayed in a 'superior' room which was large and comfortable and clean. Just one quibble: why so mean on the coffee and tea supplies? There was one of those unfortunate coffee capsule machines (would prefer a kettle) with just one normal coffee capsule and one de-caff! What if both room occupants want normal or de-caff; what if they want a coffee on arrival and one in the morning?

Great stopover with good facilities
Reviewed By Euro-Euro-travellerThis place has a beautiful setting, all secluded and gated around. Plenty of parking in front of hotel. It is complicated to source food from places around and not much help was provided from the receptionist. Good they have tables outside and we enjoyed them in good weather. Best was the securoty of parking in a closed gated property.

We welcome you in a green setting close to the city center. Kyriad hotel of Bourg en Bresse is 60km away from Lyon and you can easily access to it via the A40 motorway (exit n°6). Our hotel has 40 air-conditionned/heated rooms, with flat screen TV, free wifi access, welcome tray, bathroom and toilets separated, hair dryer, shower of bath. We have a free private parking lot and also a paid garage. We provide you a small catering service everyday from 7PM to 9.30PM, or you'll find restaurants nearby. On mornings, our sweet and sour buffet breakfast is served from 6.45AM until 9.30AM from Mondays till Fridays and from 7AM until 10AM every week-ends. To recharge your batteries, our outdoor pool is opened from Spring, only our guests can have access, to provide you maximum comfort and safety. You could have a drink at the bar, on the terrace or in the lounge. It would be a great pleasure for us to welcome you and make you have a nice stay in our hotel.
Really excellent, everything you need in quiet comfort

There’s a decent sized TV with plenty of channels, the bedside lamps are built in and can be aimed at books or maps, the sink in the bathroom is nice and high up, the loo is separate. There’s tea or coffee in the room, the bed is comfortable and we are well back from the main road, so it’s quiet at night. We are well situated for trips into town either on foot or by car and there’s a decent sized car park out the front with some suspiciously nice cars, proving that there are still clever people with an eye for a bargain. Must admit we suspect we got a special COVID price, but whatever, this is a well thought out hotel. We are here two nights, looking forward

Reviewed By Nigel BWe almost booked a chain hotel but thought we would try something different and we were so glad we did. The house is in a peaceful and beautiful location the owner is charming we had a lovely two night stay and would definitely return.
