Great Experience

Everything was clean and the staff was very cordial. Loved the exercise equipment in the room. Location was accessible to just about everything. We didn’t eat at the restaurant so this review doesn’t include our experience there. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

2 Night Stay - Charming, but Pricey

Reviewed By maxschramp

We stayed for 2 nights in the king standard room on the first floor. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable, there was complimentary champagne on arrival, and all staff were kind and professional. We made good use of the large pool, and had breakfast at the adjoining restaurant Relish. It was a standard continental buffet offering, but NOT included in the price of the room which was disappointing. Our room also wasn't as clean as we expected - dust lining the vents and bathroom surfaces. However, location was good - close drive to downtown Ann Arbor and about 30 minutes to Detroit. Overall, was a good stay, but wouldn't come again for the price.

Lovely accommodations

This is my second time coming here for a business trip, and I’m very pleased by the service, the room, and the location! The only questionable issue I have is with the water, as it’s a “slimy” feeling unlike the water elsewhere (like my office here). The complimentary breakfast was delightful, and Annalee was a very bright and helpful receptionist! Highly recommend!

Graduate Ann Arbor

Welcome to Graduate Ann Arbor - where your intellectual curiosity meets your favorite place to stay. Graduate Ann Arbor is ideally located across the street from University of Michigan's campus and a couple blocks from Nickels Arcade. We're right at the corner of Huron and State streets amid the bustle of the town's best restaurants, shops and game day buzz, making Graduate the smartest place to stay in town! A cozy club feel envelops the hotel lobby where nods to the arts, counterculture and political scene of this famously progressive community speak to its storied history. Hand-painted mosaic patterns that sweep across wide-planked wood floors, handsome millwork, leather clad columns and grand center staircase patchworked in Persian rugs add a warm, layered look throughout. Traditional library furnishings are recovered for a twist on the classics, while commissioned murals and graffitied manifestos invite discussion and good humor.

We loved it!

This property is in an excellent location. It is kitschy and cute. The theme (college life at U of M) is noticeable everywhere and it is fun! There is a bar and an activity room with games and pool. There is a nice outside seating area with a fountain and some swings. Parking is valet and even though you can see your car 20 feet behind your hotel window, you can't go and retrieve something from you car. Valet parking was $30 per night, I believe. The room keys are the student IDs of now-famous people. We had Madonna and Bradley Meltzer. The rooms are large enough and have big windows which you can barely see out because they are incredibly dirty. We loved this hotel and would stay there again in a hot minute!

Spacious rooms, but with issues

Reviewed By TmJ7005MJ

I “bought up” to the king hospitality room. The pros: it was very generous in size - two desks, sitting area. The cons: One of the reasons I paid $350 a night was because the room had the updated bathroom with Bluetooth. The Bluetooth mirror wouldn’t even turn on. No big deal. We can live without it. Then at 3:00 am there is a steady drip of water somewhere in the room and lasts all night long. Once the sun is up I see that the wall by the window is leaking and there is water pooled on the sill. Looking further I see that the wall paper is buckled and lifting from water damage. I go to check out and let the woman at the desk know. She was friendly with an “oh no sorry about that” - I couldn’t tell if she understood the extent of the issue so I let her know that it looks like it happens a lot because there is water damage on the wall. She says she will be sure to let maintenance know. At this point I’m fairly certain it was a known issue and we were allowed to spend that kind of money on the room regardless. TLDR: I spent $350 to not be able to sleep because of a leak and for a room that lacked some of the promised features. I shrugged off the Bluetooth not working but should have switched rooms then - may have avoided the water issue!

Staying for business, Diamond level. I used digital check-in, worked fine. Breakfast was standard fare, but fruit offerings could have been better. Room had AC butting up to the desk and hard to reach outlet, but TV channels had multiple HBO channels. Bathroom had standard tub but was clean. Location is surrounded by other hotels, but near I-94 and UM.
