Reviewed By Roy PWe like staying here because of the location and the very good quality Hampton that you should expect, and we find that here. They always honor my first floor room request, and everything always works in the room including the bath fan and a good thermostat (we needed a little heat on this trip - LOL). I'm wasn't happy with the lack of water pressure in the shower, nor do I like all the Hamptons pre-processed hot breakfast offerings these days. Here the hot food looked like it had been put out for several days - it looked SO bad. And they were out of OJ for 3 days straight, and I always had to go look for the attendant just to get the milk jug refilled so I could have cereal. Ugh. On this trip we needed to use the laundry facility, but we found out they do not have one here! We were allowed to use the laundry facilities at the Comfort Inn next door - which was on their 3rd floor. NOT convenient! So will we stay here again on our next visit to Anderson? I think I will also checkout other choices in the area next time and see what the other hotels have to offer and compare. Then I'll decide.

Reviewed By jetslyAfter renovation, this is an above average HIE property. Our 2 queen bed suite was roomy and spotless, as were the public areas of the hotel. Our room had a safe as well as microwave and refrigerator. The latter did not have a freezer element, but at our request the staff laid up our dry ice for the night in one of their freezers. We appreciate their cooperation. Breakfast was better than average for a mid-range, but of course the real selling point is a good night's sleep: the hotel was quiet, and the HIE mattresses and pillows very much to our liking. The pool area is still closed, but one additional renovation that we would recommend is installing a hot tub.

Typical holiday inn express - basic amenities, in need of updating, but fine for a quick stay. Loud bass music every night outside from cars parked in the McDonald’s lot next door.

If it wasn't for the typical lame Hampton Inn style closet door - I would have thought I was in a much more expensive hotel chain's room. The bathroom was particularly stylish (at least to me). Room had microwave, mini-frig, iron & board, coffee maker, plenty of electrical outlets. No room safe. Bathroom was large with lots of storage space, automatic nightlight, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion. Shower only - no tub. Some highway noise - if sensitive get room facing away from the highway (I think those would be even numbered rooms)

Reviewed By ladybug59We got a good price on Priceline. Stayed for one night to visit friends in Anderson. The rooms where clean and the staff was friendly. Easy check in and check out. Parking was also good. Tip: The breakfast is not free, unless you have a meal ticket. At the time of this written, it was over eleven dollars. We are use to the Holiday inn express where the breakfast is included. Other then that, good for a night stay.

Good stop for the night but beds too soft!
Reviewed By gulfcoastboyGood hotel, good breakfast and clean and quiet. Just like a Marriot stayed in the night before, the too-soft bed gave a back ache. So before I reserve at another Marriot property, I will ask if bed boards are available. Many hotels and guest houses are going to the "foam slab" fast-delivered beds heavily advertised on YouTube. I have not tried them all but my experience has not been favorable. No bed board at Marriot property and it's another chain for me!

Reviewed By E9959NBrobertbWorst hotel I have ever booked. They were not ready for us when we arrived despite it being at 11:00 pm and after a 12 hour drive to get there. Room had not been vacuumed. something had spilled in the refrigerator and not cleaned, the door to one of the cabinets was completely torn off and laying next to the unit. The room smelled like smoke and the A/C was not working. The maintenance employee sent to look at it knocked on the door holding a plastic food container, eating food and was literally licking his fingers. I could not tell if he was an employee or guest as he was wearing a dirty t-shirt and a pair of athletic shorts. Said he just dragged the unit up to the room a couple hours ago and then proceeded to kick it and push it with his leg in an effort, I guess, to get it working? Eventually another woman came to the door, again could not tell if she worked there or not, asked if we wanted another room so that we would not be sweating all night with no AC. We were already on the phone looking for another hotel but in the mean time were taken down to another room and said the maintenance guy would bring the key to us to get in. However, 20 minutes later, after not seeing anyone else from the hotel, we had secured another room and went to the front desk and informed them that we were leaving. On our way out of the parking lot, we did see out maintenance guy sitting on the other side of the hotel hanging out with a few other people. So much for getting the key. We had already decided could not stay here by that point so that was irrelevant at that point. Just another data point to tell you how bad this place was. It is not worth the time or aggravation at any price for this place. We ended up 30 minutes further away than where we wanted to be but in a much nicer place.
