The Georges Hostel & Café is 800 square meters of conviviality and neat decoration, spread over 4 levels, including 150 square meters of common spaces, open to all, in Sète downtown. From the dorms bed to the large family suite via the coffee shop, this new trendy place is keen to encourage exchanges between travellers and locals as well as to promote its city and its region. At only 20 minutes by train from Montpellier !

Reviewed By PJE42Really big room for two, quite nice. The two additional bunks were not occupied. Location in Sète is perfect. The things that did not fit with the price of 140 €: Breakfast where the croissants and baguettes are safeguarded by the staff. You get a tray with one croissant. In the bread basket, there is maximum the amount of 1 baguette at a time. Nothing cooked (like eggs, bacon). The air conditioning is special: you cannot set it below 26 °, the thing is centrally controlled. I switched it on to have a good sleep, but it switched off after half an hour or so. Staff said you can set it for longer, but I did not see how. With a window to the street, an open window at night is not a good option. I saw other people had to bring their bedlinen down to the reception. We did not have to.

Disposable bedding means it is very uncomfortable for the more mature traveller. €24 per night however makes it more comfortable. Upsides though are that the members of staff I met are very welcoming and friendly. Reception staff have excellent English language making it easier for communication. Excellent Cassoulet which I pre-booked which comes with 2 drinks ( I chose two red wine) and had more on request, also a Nougat ice-cream dessert and coffee available. Very long walk to room from common area made me feel slightly unsafe whilst the hotel was very quiet. The views from bathroom and corridor have gorgeous views over the city roofs.

Reviewed By davidzillaCe n'est pas un hotel, c'est un gîte. Nous ne sommes pas habitué à ce genre de location mais pour le prix j'ai voulu tenter. Situé dans une petite rue pas très facile d'accès en voiture il n'y a pas de parking ni de possibilité de se garer devant l'établissement, juste pour déposer quelqu'un ou ses affaires. Il faut utiliser le parking municipal gratuit et surveillé situé à 200m. Une personne très gentille nous accueille dans la salle commune et vérifie nos pass. Direction le 1er étage : un couloir mène à 2 dortoirs, une douche, un toilette, notre chambre et notre salle de bain. Il y a une salle de bain privé dont nous seul avons la clef mais qui n'est pas dans la chambre (qui ferme à clef, aussi). Tout est neuf et propre, le lieu et convivial et chargé d'histoire. Petit déjeuner raisonnable et bon, dommage de s'en passer. Pour ceux qui le désire il y a une cuisine immense avec tout le nécessaire pour se préparer à manger sur place (sauf ingrédients, évidement). Tout est prévu pour accueillir des personnes à mobilités réduite (ascenseur, grande porte, rampes d'accès). Niveau bruit c'est un gîte et à ce titre vous dépendez des autres voyageurs, la salle commune est au RDC et pas de bruits de ce côté pour nous.

Careful! Really bad experience
Reviewed By javisastre9Probably the worst experience when it comes to sleep in France. The owner opened us the door visibly drunk (9pm) and said they had a little family celebration as his sons had arrived from their military mission in Mali. Well, there was a loud party in the backyard until dawn. The next morning the owner had not prepared breakfast at the time we agreed (8 am) and was unable to do so - he showed up still drunk and in his underwear after his son woke him up. A total scam: 66 euros for a sleepless night in the midst of a cadet party

Chambres d'hôtes et accueil motards Vous ne voudrez plus quitter ce logement charmant et unique, a seulement 5kms du centre de La Canourgue, dans un hameau en pleine nature bordé par la forêt d un coté, la rivière de l autre, à 500m. A 40mn des Gorges du Tarn, 35mn d une base de loisir et 40mn du causse, vous aurez l occasion de savourer de délicieux plats typiques de la région à proximité. Motards, profitez des virolos et dormez sur vos 2 oreilles, motos et casques à l abris!
