In der Kurzfassung, es war nicht gut. Die Nudeln gingen noch. die Käsesauce war unglaublich, jedoch im negativen Sinn. Eine weiÃe Geschmacklose pampe. Die Artischocken auf der Pizza einfach nur hart. Es sind halt Distelgewächse. Mit vier Personen gleichzeitig Bestellt. 3 Pizzen und einmal Nudeln. Die Nudeln kamen als erstes, der Rest nachdem die Nudeln gegessen waren. Auf die Nachfrage ob die Pizzen noch kommen. Ein dummer pampiger Vortrag darüber das so viel zu tun sei, drei Servicekräfte und zehn Tisch. Sollte eigentlich zu schaffen sei. Ich habe viel Sympathie für Menschen in der Gastronomie aber so nicht.

We stopped here for lunch while on a cycling holiday along the Bodensee- Konigsee Radweg and it was well worth the stop. We sat outside in a lovely shady beer garden and enjoyed the on-site-brewed beer and the restful atmosphere of the beautiful old buildings. We didn't eat lunch ourselves but the menu was a good one and the food looked really appetising, in decent but not excessive portions. This is certainly a good insight into the pleasures of Bavarian culture but very welcoming to passers-by.

We have decided to spend a long week with the whole family in Gasthof zur Post.It is the perfect place to stay during your Trip in southern bavaria. Besides the classy rooms and the hearty host family, the local food makes you stay in that place as long as you can.Thank you and best wishes from Taiwan!

If you are visiting the famous monastery in Benediktbeuren, you should go for lunch to the "Rabenkopf". the restaurant is run bya a family. The white hair guy that may seem a little unfriendly is athe owner and ctually quite funny.A "must" is to have bohemian dumplings. The goulash is great and if you are fond of veal - this is a pace to go.

We visited with a cousin who recalled going to the monastery in 2012 to hear a Joan Baez concert...It dates to 738 so is very old and quite extensive. I particularly liked the elaborate herb garden. The restaurant was pleasant and the service was good

Wir waren Sonntag Abend sehr früh da.Das Wetter lud zum drauÃen sitzen ein. Allerdings muss man hier ehrlich sagen: der Biergarten ist nicht sehr gemütlich und sauber. Es steht viel Unkraut und der gut gemeinte Kinderbereich müsste mal gründlich sauber gemacht werden.Schade sind auch die Plastik Möbel.Der Service war durch wachsen. Eine Dame war sehr freundlich und flink, wohin gegen die andere eher unmotiviert war.Die Pizza war ok, sie reiÃt einen nicht vom Hocker, hab aber schon deutlich schlechter gegessen. Das Kinderessen war sehr schnell da.Das Essen war gut. Ich denke, der Laden ist wegen der groÃen Portionen so beliebt.Wir würden nicht mehr extra deswegen hinfahren.

The service is quick. Black coffee was good and strong, but the cappuccino had a very loose foam. Very nice ambiance. I did not try any of the desserts. They all looked quite nice.

Since I live in the area, I have been here multiple times, and unfortunately cannot write a positive review for the restaurant. The atmosphere is good and they have a beer garden for when the weather is nice, but the food is really terrible. I would not recommend eating here, only a beverage is worth getting. The service personnel is not friendly either. The menu is too large for the food to be fresh. Every time we have tried this restaurant, the meat is over cooked and on one occasion the meat tasted as if it had gone bad. I mentioned this to the staff and he went an asked another man if his meal tasted good since we ordered the same dish. He did not offer to bring something else, or to take it off our bill. He was quite rude. There are better traditional restaurants in the region...it just takes a bit of searching.

Since we live in the region, we have been here many times. Most of the time the food is really good. I especially like the spinach dumplings which they prepare in the fall. Thus the food on the menu changes with the seasons, however the offer the standard traditional entrees such as schnitzel and fried potatoes. They always offer a few vegetarian entrees, but I think that they should be a bit more creative with these. They offer all of the standard children's dishes and when requested will bring the kids food out quickly, or ahead of the other food. Sometimes the meat is a bit overcooked, and I would not recommend the poultry, but generally the meals are really good. They also offer a set lunch menu for 12/13 Euro.

Das Bistrot ist zugleich Verkaufsraum, davor befindet sich auch noch ein Laden mit frischem Gemüse, Brot und italienischen Spezialitäten.Die Küche im Bistrot ist das Reich von Jörg Schmitz, der auch sein Kochbuch "Alpenküche, von Nizza bis Wien" anbietet. Dieser Koch ist anscheinend auf Sternejagd, denn was er so auf der Tageskarte anbietet ist groÃe Klasse! Wir hatten heute 1x Rigatoni und 1 x Salat mit Roastbeef. Was soll ich sagen- selten, dass man in Lokalen auf derartige kulinarische Genüsse stösst! Ein wirkliches Geschmackserlebnis von recht hohem Niveau! Auch der kredenzte Tischwein war Spitze!Man sieht, dass Herr Schmitz, und auch seine Tochter, mit fast pedantischer Genauigkeit arbeiten. Die Frischetheke bietet allerlei Spezialitäten von Jakobsmuscheln (4,90 die 100 Gramm) über Loup de Mer bis zu 30 ausgewählte Käsesorten und unzählige Salamis, eingekochte Essen im Glas oder auch Pralinen.Das Preisniveau geht, es ist nicht wirklich überzogen, wenn man die einzigartige Qualität mit einbezieht. Ich würde sagen, etwas unter dem Viktualienmarktniveau, die Küche allerdings ist qualitativ schwer zu schlagen ...Service extrem aufmerksam, etwas zugig im Bistro, wenig Parkplätze und die hübsche Bedienung hat leider vergessen, das Glas Wein beim Namen zu nennen!Wir kommen auf alle Fälle sehr gerne wieder und genieÃen die Kreationen des Chefs!
