We arrived expecting a top notch French cuisine lunch with our sonThe ambiance was a bit cold in a restaurant decorated fr a five n dime store.The child's place was well served and with good portions The entrees were somewhat fad My wife's escargots arrived already out if it's shell and drenched in hot buttery sauce. Not really authentic nor tasty.My salad was basic with no desire to finish itThe main plates were skates with fries and I must confess that the fries were deffinatley homemade and tasteful. The stake was cooked to order but a bit too chewy ad again drenched in a tasteless sauce.We probably wouldn't come back but for the fries and table wine.Bill was 45⬠but I would have put a value of 29â¬

This restaurant seems to be run by one person on his own. Greeting, serving and cooking. But he does it in a friendly and efficient way and still has time to chat with his customers. The food was excellent. We were a family of 7 and all the food came out together and was hot, presented well and simply delicious. There was no children's menu but that wasn't too much if an issue as the prices were good. A small handwritten menu which I love as it means the items are seasonal and fresh.

Was in Soissons for a week with work and this became my favourite bar. Didn't try the food but it looks good, but just a nice place to have a few beers in the evening. The owner is really nice and friendly, and also makes his own beer which is available on tap.Nice and busy on the weekends with a good mixed crowd.

For me the most important thing with any business is customer service and it was outstanding. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles and everyone was so helpful.Our waiter was a young man who was so attentive. I had a starter of quiche and it was so tasty. This was followed by a fish dish that was equally tasty.This is furnished in the style of a pub as you can see from my photographs. I even included one of the carpet, but please don't let this put you off! thank you

This hotel restaurant seemed to cater for both hotel residents and locals (surely a good sign) and didn't disappoint. The presentation was thoughtful, food fresh and staff attentive and friendly.Started with an amuse bouche of gazpacho, then fois gras / poached salmon followed by rack of lamb / lemon sole. Home made sorbet. Nothing to write home about but most welcome after a long drive.

A short stay in Soissons on a Sunday evening and an awful lot closed.... But we came upon Le Saint Vincent and were well rewarded. Don't go expecting anything earth-shattering in originality but you will receive a very pleasant and friendly welcome (they were more than happy to accommodate our two dogs). And, when in France... The menu has all of the fresh salads and fish and meat dishes you would expect and you will not be disappointed, Portions were very healthy and everything had the flavour and quality one expects. Very good salmon, excellent steak and not too rich sauces which complemented both. Lovely dessert selection and both that we chose were a splendid way to round off the evening. The wine list was a good selection and prices were more than reasonable; our rose was crisp and fruity, served at the right cold and wasn't a shock to the budget!Decor is a little stark and it's not a beautiful place to dine but the food is what counts and this is first-rate, as was the service.

Staying at the nearby motorhome aire, we were looking for a simple evening meal. As it was quite early we were the only customers to start with, but others arrived later.The owner was very welcoming and there was a good selection of gallettes on offer. Can't remember exactly what we had, but it was well presented and went down well with a bottle of dry cider.Certainly as good a creperie as we have experienced.

Each time we visit Soissons we return to this restaurant. The atmosphere is excellent, with few tourists visiting. The food is basic but well presented and tasty. The staff are helpful and patient with school boy French. The art on the walls changes and is of interest in itself. An excellent lunch time restaurant.

On a recent visit to Soissons we struggled to find a reasonable place to eat in the evening. After some discrete googling of restaurants we found several reviews of Le Bouche a Oreille, and headed over there. Unsurprisingly this was also where most of the local populace could be found, as it is obviously the local bistro for those living in that part of the city.We ordered a Salad and a Burger Picard. Both when they arrived were very large and extremely tasty. A good range of both beers and wines are well priced and generously measured. All in all it is obvious why this place is so popular. Very good service from a droll waiter.
