This is a restaurant I would like in my own village. There is space around your table, you do not have to listen to your neighbours. Food is excellent and very well priced. Even wine by the pitcher is very good. Serving people are very kind. I might visit this restaurant much more often!!

Our local tip was:This place has a best Tripe soup. We came and orders a soup bottle of rose as always and lovely family did so fast. They serve soup in copper dishes. What a treat for hungry and tired tourist.we are so full that we ordered only one desert and that was recommend by house. Magnific....

a unique french-spanish place in Digne. Good wine, fantastic tapas . You will have to taste the "parmentier au boudin noir".Great!!!!...The owners are extremely friendly. Probably the best place in Digne to spend a long evening!.

My husband and I choose this small restaurant after having read good reviews. We were the first customers that evening. When we walked in and very unpleasant smell filled our nostrils and we almost left. We decided the cook must have burned something quite badly. Very few other restaurants were open, so we stayed. Sitting between two open windows, we got fresh air that cleared the smell somewhat. We waited quite awhile before our dinners arrived; the trout was OK but the turkey in the curry was tough and dry. At least the price was very reasonable; only 25 euros for the two of us. But the food was a disappointment.

Good lunch time 'formule' which we chose - complet gallette (comes with a bowl of salade), crepe sucre, bowl of cidre (doux or fort), and coffee. Service very friendly and helpful re options. Lovely atmosphere. We found it by accident, but worth looking for - it is tucked away!

I can predict that many will be negative because this place is far away from being fancy or "trendy". So lower your expectations and enjoy a great food in a place full of love from people who runs it. Isn't excellent food and friendly and warm service is why you go to restaurants? I had grilled beef and it was prepared perfectly and their snail skewers are fantastic. We were a big company and everybody enjoyed their meals. We paid with card and forgot to leave any tips afterwards. I feel so bad, since this place deserves good tips, hope my review can compensate a bit.

We originally wanted to go to the place next door, which was in our guidebook, but the rain had made all the seats wet. We got the last table under an awning without much thought other than dry seats. We were greeted by our waiter who was very friendly and presented with the simple wine list and Carte. The choices were simple, but the results were anything but. We had canard confit, salmon, couvillarde and salad with lardon and pate. All were great!! We had a nice bottle of red to enjoy with lunch, of course. The chef came out to clear our plates. He was also friendly, convincing us to have the assiette of desert, with espresso and it too was fabulous, with four spoons. The chef worked for 9 years in Nice and had started this place and was in his 9th year. He's worked as waiter and chef as well as all the other jobs you can have in the restaurant business. He clearly loves what he does and it shows! Can't recommend this place highly enough!

We highly recommend this restaurant! The owner waited on us and was so organized that she handled a very busy restaurant quivkly while her husband cooked. The full meal "Menu" was only 24 euros.and was beautiful and large [my husband loved his duck dish and I loved the seabass]. While waiting, we were able to enjoy the quiet of the pedestrian only street and the resident dog and little girl from the restaurant next door. What fun! We were made to feel like part of the family. We will return just to feel this warm welcome again.
