Le Domaine Sauvage, a parc with luxury villa’s is situated between two natural reserves. Every villa has a breathtaking view at the sea. Equihen-plage is located on the French-Flemish Opal Coast and is a true area of natural beauty. With the nearby two 18-hole golf courses – Golf des Pins and Golf des Dunes – it’s a golf player’s dream. A vacation in this authentic village is fantastic. Close by, you can find lovely cities like Boulogne-Sur-Mer and Le Touquet-Paris-Plage.

Howver, please note the follwoing based on our experience: The distance from the beach was approximately 1 km but climbing up the hill with a small child can be a burden. We needed to use the car constantly and the parking facilities in the beach were not adequate. The furniture in the room was worn out (especially the couch!) and the cleanliness was very modest, even amid Covid-19. When I checked out I was requested to collect all the garbage, sheets, towels by myself. The complex is quite big so the advertised sea-view included only a patch of sea among the houses from our terrace. In the house we had to buy everything - soap, dish-sponge, dish-detergent, everything. There was not even a telephone to contact the reception. For everything I wanted I had to walk there and 1 km uphill in 35 degrees with the sun for a simple question is not the best option. On top, the street inside the complex is one-way downwards. So in order to go by car, I had to drive all around the adjacent village. No wi-fi available but we were informed about this from the beginning. However, the 4G network in the specific area was very slow.

Reviewed By RMartinL101Very friendly hosts at this apartment hotel on 2 storeys in centre of Ambleteuse. Welcomed us warmly even though we were staying only one night. Nice restaurant in same complex with reasonable menu and clearly popular. Hosts provided an excellent breakfast (by French standards) in our apartment. Plenty of parking next to apartments. Convenient for British shopping in Calais or Boulogne with restaurants, post office and walk down to sea shore. Pleasant location.

Wouldn’t recommend for one night
Reviewed By wiggywheelsI can possibly see the appeal for a longer stay, but wouldn’t say it’s suitable for 1 night. The 5pm check-in was too late, especially when coupled with the 10am check out time. Room was basic and cold due to the tiles on the floor. Took about an hour for the heating to warm it up. Pillows were so thin & uncomfortable making for a bad night sleep. Shower head was not all pleasant. No milk supplied with the coffee making facilities which I didn’t notice until 8am when I didn’t fancy a trek to reception. From previous comments this looks like a standard feature. In the middle of nowhere - all local restaurants needed a reservation, but we could have just been unfortunate due to it being a bank holiday. Didn’t use the facilities so can’t comment. Only plus was the loft bedroom where the children stayed - once warmed up this felt cosy.

good location when travelling with dogs
Reviewed By Colin HThe location by the dunes and the beach was excellent for walking our dogs, even though it rained heavily throughout our stay. The accommodation was of a good size clean and well equipped for 2 people. there was only 1 couch to seat 2, so if both rooms were occupied 2 people would have to sit on hard chairs. Nice decking area outside with table and chairs that we would have used had the weather been better.

The room and bathroom were beautifully decorated, everything showed an attention to detail and a consciousness of design. Everything was spotless. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, more so than any I have ever encountered in a hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating; when I asked about an item I would like to see in the kitchen, they bought one that very day. As I had my own kitchen I didn't ever use their breakfast room but it seemed very well equipped with many choices, including eggs cooked to order.

Beautiful Gite
Reviewed By DanniidStayed in the 4 person Gite for the weekend with my family, was a beautiful property in the French countryside, really peaceful & relaxing. Was about 20 minutes outside of Le Touquet, very remote with no shops or bars within walking distance, although only a short drive to nearest bakery & shop. The Gite is extremely well equipped & of a very high standard of decor, we would love to return just for longer next time & in one of the larger properties!!!
