Basic hotel option
Reviewed By pnetsterWe booked for a night on route south and wouldn’t recommend, unless there are no other options. The city itself is worth a visit with some nice restaurants snd bars nearby. The hotel has seen better days, no welcome at the reception, aircon not working, lift not working, breakfast for 12 euro a head- there are plenty if more reasonable options locally. Also no parking - you have to use the paul mercer public car park which has a 2.4 height limit - 10 euro for 24 hours. On the plus side the rooms have fridges with a decent freezer part and beds comfortable- but think there has got to be better options!

Reviewed By Marcin JStyed there for 2 night on our way to Euro 2016 game and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality considering how affordable the stay was. Lovely and unusual decor was one of the perks. Hosts spoke limited English but it only made breakfast conversation more interesting. Great idea of family table you sit with other guests-thouroughly enjoyable stay, this is a little gem in the city which otherwise has little to offer.

Absolute peace and quiet in a beautiful chateau, superbly appointed apartment had everything we needed. Quality furnishings, helpful and friendly staff. Secure, clean and comfortable. What else do you need to come back to after a day exploring

Reviewed By SusanneSvensdotterAccording to the hotel website there is a restaurant for dinner. Not so when we arrived. Luckily there was a pizzavan in the village that evening. The pool is very small and was not cleaned. The hotel actually consists of small appartments, including kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the rooms cleaned. In the corridors, I could see traces of water damage that had not been fixed. The breakfast was OK, but not fantastic. The hotel is about 1h from Puy de Fou.

Idéal pour une halte sur la route des vacances
Reviewed By Alexia RSympathique accueil dans cet ancien hôtel remis au goût du jour. Même si l'hôtel est fermé le vendredi après midi, la patronne nous accueille quelle que soit votre heure d'arrivée et reste disponible en cas de besoin. Plusieurs restaurants à quelques pas de l'établissement qui fait aussi restaurant (sauf le vendredi). Chambre propre aux dimensions correctes (nous étions avec 2 enfants).

Pretty good hotel but the food wasn't the best
Reviewed By Elijah JWe had come to Pescalis to stay in Puy du Fou but later we realised that Puy Du Fou was 45 mins away from Pescalis I really thought the facilities of Pescalis were really good they had lots of things young children would like to do and the area of this place was in a fantastic place they had beautiful lakes every where and guess what Pescalis is a fishing site there are big lakes for more advanced people and there are small lakes for mor beginner people and this place also has a wonderful gift shop and a tennis court there also a mini zoo and fishing shop with all kinds of bait,hooks,nets etc it is a lovely place.

Reviewed By Jan MWe had booked a overnight stay on our return from Portugal.All previous stays on route had been good, the accommodation provided via the Studio at Chambres d'Hotes du Puy d'Anche was a disgrace! Having read about the restaurant we tried to book a meal prior to our arrival we received no response. We asked again upon arrival the wife or partner made no attempt to contact us and we were forced to seek some food in a very small rural village. We had to clean the tables and chairs as they were dirty, there were cigarette ends left lying around, clearly the owners had made no attempt to clean or prepare for our visit. The studio was small dark and dingy. It looked uncared for and needed decoration with old furniture. There was a very uncomfortable bed and there was also a unhealthy smell coming from a old wardrobe! One light worked, other bulbs were broken and needed replacing. We were shown were the studio was situated, the door was unlocked and there was no attempt by the owners to check whether we were OK. They had already cashed our payment prior to our arrival and that was all they seemed to be bothered about! We had a terrible nights sleep due to a very old bed in poor condition and we decided to leave early, prior to the breakfast on offer which we anticipated would have been poor.(* see review on Booking.Com*) which confirms this opinion. We left a very strong note of complaint as we had no desire to meet or speak to the owners as they had been unwelcoming and unfriendly. We are left feeling angry with the owners of this property. The 65 euro charge based on what we received was a extreme over charge and we feel they have conned us! For this reason we have written this long, poor review. We would urge people to avoid staying there and indeed we feel the studio accommodation provided was so poor it was not fit for purpose. We therefore raise the question as to whether Trip Advisor should consider removing this accommodation from their lists of available properties to stay. We stayed in some lovely properties with nice welcoming people on our trip via Trip Advisor and we have reflected these views in our reviews. This was not one of them!! Based on our stay we reiterate avoid this place!

Reviewed By AmandiloTrès bon suivi depuis ma réservation et très bon accueil a mon arrivée. Le studio est propre, avec tout le nécessaire, (wifi, télé, four, plaques, cafetière, grille pain...) Il y a même des vivres dans les placards en cas de famine!;-) Et le stationnement aux alentours est gratuit, je conseille!
