If you are planning to have the Peking duck, which is their signature dish, it is recommended you call ahead to reserve it or it may ran out. The price is quite reasonable and the duck delicious. They serve it the authentic way, which is using a tortilla like pancake that is paper thin to warp the crispy duck skin inside with julienned cucumber and thinly sliced green onion, topped with house made plum sauce. You can choose to have the bone made into soup and or the duck breast meat made into a stir fried dish for extra charge. At least get the soup, great flavors!

We are a family owned small hole in the wall restaurant, we serve a famous Singaporean dish called, Hainan Chicken Rice. Most people think, the dish Hainan Chicken originated from a province in China called Hainan. Very little people know that Hainan Chic

Man Chan Cuisine (文昌雞飯), not Yes Man Chan as TripAdvisor originally named, was highly recommended by friends. We were not disappointed though. Seafood Fried Rice (海鮮炒飯) was great (about $10). And their Special: Hai-Nan Gee Fan (海南雞飯,about $7) was surprisingly plain, not at all extraordinary. People like it probably because of sentimental feeling?

My first time visiting this restaurant which has been here for fifteen years per the waitress. On Saturday they offer lunch specials until 5:00.pm! The special includes hot & sour soup which was yummy. For entrees I ordered beef chow fun, shrimp with asparagus and clams & basil. Everything was delish and the portions were large enough for take home leftovers and we also received complimentary tapioca dessert which made for a happy ending. The service by all entire staff was solid and friendly.Another pro here is they accept credit cards unlike their competition across the street so I'm looking forward to returning here again.

New Golden City(新金城) located at a very busy plaza at the corner of Nogales and E Gale. Parking is close to impossible, usually. NGC is often busy particularly at weekends and lunch hours. Their specialties and the ones I like are: green onion pancake($3.25), beef roll($6.95), steamed round dumplings(pork)($5.95), steamed dumplings(pork)($6.25), and cold shredded jelly fish(($9.95). They are all delicious! I also like beef soup noodle($6.95)(the amount of beef is less than most beef noodle soups I had tasted, and the soup is closer to stewed noodle soup) and Noodle with seafood egg flower soup($6.95). The taste of the latter? Plain.

Met friends here for dinner last night and was pleasantly surprised. For the price, especially with senior discount, it was quite a deal. They had all your normal Asian buffet items, not the best, I must say, but good quality. I liked the fried chicken wings the best. Their sushi was OK and no sashimi even at dinner. The sauteed shrimps was also good. I will have to try their BBQ station next time. Not the best Asian buffet but for the price...it was good. We had been here several times when it was Komi but stopped coming when it went downhill. We may come more often with that price range.

Came in on a Sunday afternoon after 2:00 pm. It's been years since I dined here and parking was full but managed to find somebody that was leaving. We also lucked out because they serve dim sum until 3:00pm on weekends and offer lunch specials also.I noticed they didn't have the traditional dim sum carts probably due to the limited space. Since my brother was visiting my mother at my residence, I ordered two items of each and I didn't realize the deli next door sells the dim sum for 40 cents less per entree. As for the dim sum everything was delicious and as good as my regulrar go to places in Monterey Park. Driving here was less hassle to drive to and my favorite entrees were the har gow and the Chinese Tamale which is made of steamed sticky rice on the exterior and inside contain Chinese sausage, peanuts, egg and pork. - they are difficult to find and so yummy here and taste just the way my grandmother use to make them. The service here was exceptional and the waiters replaced my dirty plate several times and refilled the tea pot constantly. I was impressed overall with the quality, service and value here. I noticed many tables ordering deep fried pepper crab so I definitely have a reason to return here again!

The difficulty of serving Dim Sum is the amount of pastime labor needed to make these little dishes in the morning that are consumed in a heart beat in one lunch setting, that is what I was told one time from one of the best Chinese restaurant in LA that served Dim Sum. There are rumors that some of the dim sum restaurants now just steam the frozen ones. This place seemed to still do it themselves but these are large portion, cheap price and not as delicate as some top notch dim sum restaurants around. They also offer Cantonese Styled foods from the kitchen both during lunch and dinner. They are alright but nothing to write home about. I have never tried their expensive dinner set courses that other friends have tried and said good things about. If you are interested to have a reserved room with better food from the kitchen, it does not hurt to investigate more.
