We visited during the hunting season, the best time of the year to eat out in Switzerland. Great venison dishes, which all pass the "aftertaste test". And the side dishes! Tasty Spätzli, probably the best I've ever had. Brussels sprout, deliciously al dente. And the Only the Rösti was not fully convincing. The part which is most at risk to go wrong in a Swiss venison dish - purple cabbage - was absolutely impeccable. Everything served with friendly empressement and prepared with a keen eye for every detail. Hirschen Oberkirch, expect us to visit again very soon!

Staid there 4 weeks during a military assignment. The rooms are basic, but clean, some come with small bathrooms, but all in all definitely ok for the price. As for the restaurant, we staid with full board and not even once we felt like we needed to go eating elsewhere for a change.It's traditional simple Swiss fare, but the way it is prepared, you really see the passion they put in it. Last but not least, special thanks to Andrea and Paula and the entire service crew! I simply would give this place 6 stars.

I expected more to be honest. I's a nice restaurant. Friendly and good atmosphere but the food was below what I expected for the price. CHF 9.20 + tax for a liter of mineral water is just ridiculous, even by Swiss prices. no starters were eaten.Had 4 mains, 3 deserts, a liter of water and a liter of sauser, 4 coffees. total CHF 198.Things like the fact that the spinach was obviously frozen (still came out in the little round portion) and the french fries the same would put me off recommending this place.

We went to Vogelsang for breakfast buffet and gladly give an excellent rating. The restaurant is beautifully located above lake sempach, has a spacious terrace with a nice view, the service was super friendly and the food very good. All of this for a very reasonable price. We will definitively come again.

A bit more up market than than all the other restaurants I visited for lunch, but this was for an evening meal. There were families, couples and us a business dinner, all suited this place fine. We were there when it was dark, but we could still see the small town on the other side of the lake all lit up. The décor was of a nice quality hotel/restaurant and the food served was great, typical Delia Smith style food in my opinion. Typical conservative interior. Very cosy. Local people tend to come here.Honestly they serve here the best cordon blue I have ever had. It comes with roesti. The differentiating thing with this cordon blue is the ham inside which is smokey and the cheese which has a strong taste. If you want to see a real Swiss place this is your choice. They have also a big variety of Swiss and international wines.

We have been today at Amrein's. We arrived at around 1pm, there is no problem for eating. There are 5-6 dishes for daily menues. We choosed salad, soup for starter, lamb with potatoes and roasted pork with risotto for main dishes and one dessert for both. The meal was again excellent, the service attentive and reasonable bill (75 francs) for both.Amrein's is an excellent address in Sursee

It is not eays to run successfully a vegan restaurant since most of the people are meat eaters and are not willing to test another experience and questioning sometimes their eating practice. Therefore, the Gersag offers at lunch time also ecological meet food. But in the evenings the restaurant is fully dedicated to non animal products. I was very positively surprised by the food. The food is not only a good, but also presented in a nicely manner. I ate the beetroot garpacio and the buckwheat minced "veg meat" dish. Boht were delicious and hardly to beat. There is also a variety of wines (ecological or even vegan). The Gersag building is not very cosy, but they decorated the restaurant well. I hope and i wish success for this highly ambitious team of this restaurant. And defintively, i will go there again.
