If like me you have been having a tough time finding a really good cup of coffee in Ecuador and/or if you are considering buying some beans or ground coffee to take home, this is a great place to go. The owner knows his coffee and offered up various suggestions on which beans to consider for the taste I was after and the best way to prepare the coffee.Once I made my decision, he ground up enough beans to make a cup for me and one for my friend, and then served it up for us. We paid just over $3 for two cups of tailor-made coffee. A cool experience you wonât come across just anywhere!He has extended his hours slightly - now open Monday to Friday from 10 AM until 2 PM, then he goes home for lunch and is back again from 3:30 PM until 9 PM.

I dined here a number of times during my stay in Loja last May-2018-and it was excellent...The coffee was very good and the cakes were excellent...Service was prompt,friendly and very professional...I can definitely recommend this place...Too bad that it's closed on Saturdays and Sundays....Highly recommended...10 out of 10.

No one else was having juice when I went - maybe due to the high price? Everyone was having coffee it seemed. I had an empanada and it was tasty. I did not see the special section with spices - that will have to be on my next visit.

Es la mejor pizzerÃa de Loja, tienen muchas opciones (para todos los gustos). El personal es muy amable y la atención es muy eficiente. La ubicación es perfecta. Les recomiendo probar los nuevos combos.

This place is special. The family grows, harvests, roasts and brews the coffee. And the attention given to every step really shows. Add to that friendly service and top it of with a piece of apple pie or passion fruit (called maracuya here) cheescake and I can say without reservation that this is the best cafe in Loja.

You will not only be wowed when you see the place (which is a residential house turned pub), you don't expect a place like this in Loja, but you will also be delighted with the kind of craft beer they serve here, which is crafted in the house by the owners themselves. I lived in the states for five years and I have to say that never in my life there did I hear of a beer like the ones I had here. You just go and try them, they are out of this world, especially because they are so unique in their ingredients (you'll be more than amazed). The only thing missing here is an IPA which they said they are still working on, since the place is recent (no more than just a couple of years). The owners are also the nicest and the place has a Cambridge, MA-kind of atmosphere/style. Definitely recommended.

This cozy cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating, the latter around a secluded garden. Staff are hospitable. Marco will show you how to really enjoy different types of Lojana coffee. I appreciated that and a pizza empanada: a nice break from touring the town. I'll make time to return. Recommended.Thank you, you are welcome.

Breakfast choice was the usual ( American or local etc) but with fruit, yogurt cereal choices too. Very clean and on a corner close to the centre of town. I always have trouble ordering a tea with a little milk, but they got it perfectly correct. Good prices too, and friendly. They also sell cakes and bakery items tht look rather nice.(Some with a lot of colour!)

This place is wonderful. From the balcony you can see SanSabastion square. The food is great. They serve good lunches for 3.00 soup, main entre and desert with drink. You have a choice of main meal. I can't believe this place has not been reviewed yet. If you are in Loja make sure you eat here. Great service and ambience.It was a pleasure. Thank you for your review,it`s important for us.

My boyfriend and I visited Gato Suco for a quick dinner in Loja. The place is very modern and has a nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly and the service prompt. The menu is small but has some great choices. We both opted for falafel, and it was fantastic - very tasty, great portion sizes and excellent value for money! I would highly recommend for anyone looking for quality at reasonable prices!
