Reviewed By Mint433Went to a wedding but hotel caught fire prior to arrive got this one hotel in La Fleche. Rooms very small but comfortable. The town is very beutiful and quiet. It is south of Le Mans so and Ideal stop for an overnight stay. They have a Buffalo Grill and McDonalds opposite hotel.

The facilities are 10/10, à hot tub spa outside, sauna and hamman, the decor is very tastefully done, contemporary with a dash of nostalgia and 24h du Mans. The very friendly host served us with an amazing evening meal ( 4 course ) and wonderful breakfast. Recommended 100% thank you

Main tram stops were just outside Hotel (great for anyone staying longer). Good Bistro Restaurant within 100 mtrs. Friendly staff. Secure underground parking. Good double glazing - could not hear trams.

Reviewed By Wander45083908468Very well situated hotel - we had a family room for 4 and it was superb! Very comfortable beds and the decor in our room was beautifully traditional. Our host was wonderful and navigated our lack of French brilliantly. Really enjoyed breakfast and the lovely selection of jams. Would hesitate to recommend - we will be back.

Location in town for easy shopping, train access within walking distance, easy for tourists to explore the areas . Good highways around Sable - Sur Sarthe to explore the areas. Excellent 10 days stay for me ( woman) .

Reviewed By Accrington155Very pleasant stopover at this very nice guesthouse / bed and breakfast. Close to village centre, with no-cost public parking nearby. First impression down a little side street were misleading, but it was sweet inside. Very good breakfast with local produce. Allow some time to enjoy the back patio overlooking the river, or read some of the personal development books. No restaurant - but the Hotel de Gare about 15 mins walk away is also worth a visit for dinner. Quite happy to recommend, especially to break any journey down towards the West.

Les Chambres d’Hôtes du Doyenné sont idéalement situées, au cœur de la Cité Plantagenêt du Mans, au calme dans une grande maison construite au début du XIXème siècle, rénovée récemment en respectant son identité, elles sont calmes et confortables dans environnement privilégié. C’est le quartier préféré des voyageurs visitant Le Mans !
Beautiful atmosphere - but plenty of room for improvement esp. hygiene
Reviewed By ladida2This B&B is situated in the heart of the old town of Le Mans, directly next to the Cathedral. This is a great advantage as one can discover the city on foot. The beds are very comfortable. Unfortunately, there is a big need of improvement. - The rooms (ours and that of my parents) were not clean - hair and dust underneath beds and furniture, dusty bedside-tables, a very used shower head, a dirty drawer underneath the sink. - Before booking, make sure you ask for pictures of the rooms! We got the 2 rooms in the attic, which, offer a great view on the square. But tall people have a problem moving in these rooms (my husband is 1,92 m) and one of the showers is installed under a slanting roof. 3 staircases lead to the attic which is divided in 2 small rooms. - On the day of departure, we had to leave the keys on a small table near the main door, as there was no one in sight. It would have been nice to know that there was someone around in any case of emergency - One last point: the lady of the house was very nice, but it would be a great asset if she could communicate in English.

Authentic, rustic perfection
Reviewed By janicemsWe were blown away the minute we pulled in to the driveway...what a gorgeous place in an idyllic setting. If you’re looking for an authentic, rustic French countryside break this is your place. The lovely hosts couldn’t have been friendlier or more welcoming. The room was spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view down the driveway with sound of the birds tweeting and the water from the stream running. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and it was lovely sitting out on the terrace with a drink and being able to stroll around the grounds. Next time we will make use of the pétanque field! It’s a very short drive to the beautiful little village Montmirail which is worth a visit and a wander round. Thanks for having us. We’ll definitely be back!
