Small but very clean.

Reviewed By 359kwangnamk

Located just near the Segovia Cathedral. Room is very small but clean. Not easy to communicate with host and when you arrived the hotel you have to call them. I think the staff were not in the office all times. Anyway, room is clean but very small. Most of all, the best thing is its location - Just near the cathedral and not just five to ten minutes' walk to Alcazar and Aqueduct.

Really comfortable.

Reviewed By John G

The Siete Picos was recommended by friends in San Rafael who know it's very good restaurant. The welcome was instantly warm and friendly and the room was immaculately clean and comfortable. Our room looked towards the town and mountains and we had the luxury of a bath! Continental breakfast was a sensible €3.50. There were plenty of rest areas with big comfortable sofas and chairs where you can check out your e-mails on the free wifi. A large terrace and an intimate bar give you the chance to meet and chat with your hosts or other guests. The local town, El Espinar, is delightful, full of bars, shops and restaurants. Segovia is half an hour away by car and well worth a visit. As a resting place for weary walkers or those who just fancy a change of air the Hostal Siete Picos offers very good value for money.

Central to a visit to Segovia and Avila and excellent for walking in the Sierra Guadarrama

Reviewed By jimmy k

Las Farolas is an inn. The room was tight for two but comprehended a toilet/bathroom. It has an excellent bar with great tapas. It also has a spacious dining area. Everything at Las Farolas is very very clean and the owners are always around, very friendly and keen, when asked, to give lots of helpful advice and to top up the tapas. We enjoy (normally) using public transport, but San Rafael is very poorly served by its almost invisible train service and a bus service which is not dependable, compensated a bit however by Carlotta the very friendly and helpful lady who runs the bus station bar and speaks perfect Californian English. San Rafael is good in position, midway between Madrid, Segovia and Avila, bu, sadly, a car is essential.

A wonderful hotel in a beautiful situation

We came to stay for one night and stayed for five...the hotel has lovely gardens and a swimming pool with views of distant mountains; we often saw eagles flying close by. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with unexpected, gorgeous details, and art that is a real delight. We were able to truly relax and unwind in these lovely surroundings, and nothing was too much trouble for our warm and welcoming hosts, who looked after us very well. Breakfast is lovely and we dined enjoyably with excellent, attentive service. We hope to return in the future and highly recommend this lovely place. Prices very good.

If you are looking for a clean apartment within walking distance of attractions and with secure parking this is the one

Reviewed By johnsilverwalkerl

A clean well equipped apartment within walking distance of the main attractions in Segovia. You can see the Aqueduct from the apartment (About 5 mins away) and the palace is about 15 - 20 minutes walk. If travelling by car or motorcycle the secure parking at 10 Euros per night in good value. No need to worry about finding the parking, as reception walked over and guided me into the parking area. Reception was so helpful in explaining where and how to get to the attraction in the town and surrounding area. If you wish you can walk around the town past the Aqueduct, the palace and the river in about 2 hours. Lots to do in the area. Will visit again and use this apartment. If looking for fruit and veg, go to the little veg shop just up the Main Street. Don't use the supermarket a little further up, as its expensive and the quality is not that good

A rural gem near Segovia

Reviewed By JVM1980

We stayed at this lovely B&B during our visit to Segovia. The place was faultless, friendly, clean and very comfortable. It is very close to Segovia, and the food there was excellent (a welcome break from the rather monotonous Spanish cuisine). We travelled with our dog who was made to feel welcome. Definitely give it a try when visiting the area!

Huge room and huge bed with great character, the bathroom was lovely too! We had a balcony on the Delegación de Haciendas, lovely building. The hotel is located in a great part, close to Plaza Mayor but in a quiet area. 3 buses leave from just in front of the hotel to go to Acuaducto. Staff was kind, welcoming and helpful. We recommend this place to stay!

Hosteria del Arco

Rural hotel situated in the medieval village of Pedraza. Is a new construction with traditional stone architecture and wooden structure. The hotel have 10 rooms with modern decor, including two special double rooms, two single rooms and six double rooms. Half of the rooms have wonderful views of the mountains. The dining room has a capacity of approximately 20 people and currently its use is only for hotel breakfast. The decor is very careful as there are some fabulous pictures of Pedraza made with sand and a wonderful tin lamp. It also has a cosy lounge where guests can watch TV and read quietly. Finally, it has a cafeteria, which is open to everyone, with modern decor where you can taste the menú in their restaurant "El Jardín". It has a small quiet courtyard where it gets a terrace in fine weather (usually hosted exclusive use).

Comfortable room with a good view

We stayed during a cycling holiday with Away from the Crowds so appreciated the secure bike storage. Everywhere in Pedraza is within a few minutes walk so this hotel is well placed to see the sights. Our room (number 22) had great views of the mountains. It was on the small side but comfortable. Breakfast was generous and tasty.
