Top 10 Bed and Breakfast Inns in Napa, United States

April 19, 2023 Giuseppe Pratt

Gold and silver may have been behind the hordes that flocked in the 1800s, but liquid gold - Chardonnays, Cabernet Sauvignons and Pinot Noirs - is behind the modern migration. This dream destination for wine lovers has an abundance of fine restaurants and inns. Horse posts have been replaced by bike racks, and pedal power is a great way to explore.

Better than the photos.

Reviewed By Chris S

My husband and I were traveling with our adult daughter and wanted two rooms. After reading reviews we decided on The Cottages of Napa Valley and are so glad we did. We rented the 2 bedroom 2 bath cottage. The photos don't do it justice. The cottage was beautifully decorated, spacious, and comfortable. The refrigerator was stocked with wine, OJ, coke and diet coke. There was coffee and tea supplies and a basket of snack. All included. Delicious pastries delivered to our door every morning from the Bouchon Bakery. In addition to the chiminea there was a grill and picnic table if we wanted to prepare our own meals. Check in was easy. Staff was friendly. We took the ebikes for a ride on the bike trail that is easily accessible from the cottages. Helmets were provided. There was also a building that housed board games as well as corn hole, croquet, etc. Our only complaint was that we had such a short time there. Wish we could have stayed longer and definitely plan on returning and leaving time in our schedule for just hanging out at the Cottages. Yes there is some road noise but where isn't there road noise. Only heard it in the bathroom and outside. It did not hinder our sleep or other activities in any way. Not a reason to stay away.

Hidden gem- amazing place for such a reasonable price

This hotel was top notch and I would absolutely go back here in a heart beat. The rooms are beautiful and ours has a little patio where you could go sit out and drink wine or coffee. The bed was comfortable and the decor and amenities were wonderful. Unfortunately in my first night stay I ended up eating something that didn’t agree and was in bed till about 130 pm. The housekeeping staff waited until I left, never bothering me and cleaned up when we left for the later afternoon. I was actually embarrassed I had left clothes strewn all over the bed and they cleaned up everything around it. The staff from check in to check out was absolutely wonderful. We left our pillows behind and they offered to ship them to us. They do a complimentary wine tasting from 530 to 6 in the lobby. They also lock up at 9 pm I think so make SURE you take your key with you! This hotel is walking distance to the downtown area where the wine, shops and places to eat are so very convenient

Very nice stay

Reviewed By Corey C

We stayed in Angelina's Garden at the Napa Inn and for the most part, we really liked it. It was walking distance to the historic Napa part of the city, the room was large, the fireplace was wonderful and the hot tub was nice after a long day of walking around the vineyards. We didn't notice any trace of any smells that seem to be mentioned in a few reviews. What we did notice was an odd sound that turned out to be a pump issue installed by the city the day before and wasn't working properly. We addressed the issues with the owner (or manager?), Susan, who I will say went above and beyond in terms of trying to accommodate us. She also made a lovely breakfast for the couple of days we stayed. We were a bit worried about the lack of evening staff as we checked in late but the key and instructions were waiting for us under the front mat. I will say another small con was some of the drywall/plaster in our room did have fairly large cracks so that should be addressed at some point. I thought it added a bit of the rustic charm to a very old house but could be fixed. The pillows were some of the best pillow we have ever slept on so wanted to note that. Overall, would glad stay here again. Even with the few hickups, Susan made us feel so welcome, we over looked them hope to see her again.

Terrible experience

Reviewed By BriGall

We stayed for 2 nights & we were unable to shower due to the water backing up and overfilling the shower floor with dirty water. We reported the issue on day 1 where we were told they would take care of it. The next morning the same issue occurred. When we reported it again we were told they’d look at it again but we needed to check out by 11am. The manager did nothing to accommodate the terrible experience. Imagine paying almost $1000 for 2 nights & not being able to use the shower. Breakfast was served cold and no better than a cheap hotel. Totally unacceptable & would recommend staying far away from this inn.

Gorgeous bed & breakfast

Reviewed By jdonnerstein

The George was an absolute delight. It is in the perfect part of Napa so we could walk anywhere. Our room was small but totally fine; the bathroom was also small, but efficiently laid out. The highlight was the breakfast--they had a gorgeous selection of food each morning, the best English muffins I've ever had, and mimosas and bellinis! The other guests were delightful and we enjoyed hanging out in the common areas and chatting.
