Hotel Restaurant Le Col de Crous

Cute, quaint, clean, great location to ski

Reviewed By Ally O

I stayed here for a night with friends when I went skiing at Valberg. I loved it! The hotel was conveniently located about 15 min from the mountain (in a rental car, not sure how to access it via public transportation). We were welcomed kindly and then had dinner in the restaurant. Lots of locals and I know why! The service was great, food was great, atmosphere was great. The woman who owned the hotel was so friendly and kind (which can sometimes be rare to find as a tourist in France). The room was big and very clean. There were toiletries for each of us (4) in the bathroom, which is clearly new. I haven't seen such a big shower in France! There was also a cute little balcony off of our room with cool views of the mountain. Honestly, the pictures online don't do it justice, plus it was so cheap! I would definitely stay here again!!

Great place with a warm welcome

Reviewed By PaulTeresa

We stayed here whilst supporting a cycle trip of the Route des Grandes Alpes. The reception was warm and friendly and the hostel is a lovely little place to stop off - the rooms are basic but very clean and quiet. The half board option is great value and the food was plentiful and tasty. Breakfast was sufficient and we were all rested before the days activities.

O what a lovely place

Run by Christine and Luc, but not in winter, this is a spotless, friendly home from home. Regretfully we weren't able to confirm dinner due to our travel arrangements but would advise others to do so as the home cooked fare is delightful, as we discovered at breakfast. Our room was a good size and comfortable and the view stunning. Thank you.

La Chapelle Saint Gervais

A little slice of heaven

Reviewed By JWGosden

Pascale’s farmhouse nestles in the valley beneath Sospel and was easily the best night’s accommodation for our week’s walking through the Alpes Maritimes. The rooms are simple and comfortable, the view glorious and the food astonishing. Dinner was hearty, hot and we talked about how good squash/pumpkin soup had been for most of the next day’s walk. There are plenty of high-end restaurants on the Riviera which don’t even get close to Pascale’s cooking. And none of them have a friendly menagerie to keep you company while you have apple crumble for pudding....

This hotel provides simple but comfortable accommodations in an ancient abbey, right near the center of Sospel. The rooms are clean, very quiet and with everything you need, including a good Wifi connection, after a day of hiking, biking or sightseeing. The owner is very friendly and can give lots of good advice about sights in the region. The restaurant was closed during our visit, but she made us dinner anyway.

This was a lovely old inn family run. There is plenty of parking space. The owner made us very welcome and spoke good English. We were quite happy about the two large dogs but it might not appeal to everybody. Our room was a good size with a balcony and adequate bathroom, all very clean. Our evening meal was excellent and the staff very friendly. Also we enjoyed a hearty breakfast. All in all a lovely overnight stay in lovely scenery.
