Claiming to be the sunniest spot in all of Europe, the Croatian island of Hvar is the perfect destination for tourists seeking the beauty of Mediterranean beaches without the crowds associated with more well-known destinations. My amazing 40th Birthday at Hotel Antica

Reviewed By Soboatko

My wife and I wanted to spend my 40th bird day with all of our closest friends. We had already spent 3 days at Hotel Antica in August 2020 and having enjoyed our stay so much, we decided to book the whole hotel for 3 nights. We are so glad we did, Jelica and her team couldn’t do enough for us and ensured we were never without a drink. The hotel is so clean, tidy and stylish and nothing is too much. Jelica arranged our private boat transfer from Split Airport, our dinner on the Saturday night in Hvar Town and our dinner in Stari Grad on Sunday evening. We can’t thank her and her team enough and we will definitely be back again soon.

Summer stay in Hvar

We had a lovely stay here for 3 nights and would highly recommend this apartment. It’s location is a major strength, just a 10 min walk from the old town, port and beach. The owner Kate was very helpful and welcoming. The apartment was spacious, had a delightful sea view and the complimentary wine on arrival was a nice touch. The gym was small but had a good selection of free weights, bench as well as a treadmill/erg/bike. Would definitely stay here again

Villa Sandra Hvar

Lovely owner who cares

Reviewed By Lee S

The room was spacious, and clean. The bed was comfortable and the area quiet. The kitchenette had everything we needed. The Villa is up a steep hill and Sandra offered to collect us from the ferry. As it was a few minutes away we walked. We had a late ferry to leave the island, Sandra looked after our luggage and dropped it off to the port for us. This made our day in Hvar that much better. Lovely host

Hotel Skalinada

SKALINADA is a family hotel-restaurant, opened in 1990, in the small and quiet village of Zavala on the south side of Hvar island, far from the crowds and noise of mass tourism. SKALINADA is situated 20 meters from the sea, surrounded by old pine forests, olive groves and a vineyard whose grapes produce the exquisite white wine called Zavala. SKALINADA is a place for a quiet and relaxing vacation, but if you prefer, it can also be an excellent base for active and attractive holidays full of adventure and exploration. SKALINADA is a place where, through the lush nature and the intoxicating scents of lavender, rosemary and oleander, you can experience the Mediterranean as it used to be.

Wonderful hotel on the coast od Hvar ?

Reviewed By doroteat84

I spent a few short days in this wonderful hotel on the coast of Hvar. This is a great place to unwind. There is a small public beach right on the property but it was never crowded and there was a walkway to the small town where you could find a place between the rocks to lay your towel with a little more privacy. The restaurant and beach bar both had nice views of the Adriatic and served tasty and reasonably priced treats. The staff and owners were very responsive and generous. I thoroughly recommend Hotel Skalinada.

The center of Jelsa and seafront are reached via cute old Jelsa's streets. Landlords are super kind and were always at our service. In the room, as a present, we got a bottle of Hvar local wine :D App. is clean and has all necessary. We also had place to park our bikes. Recommended-best buy!

Wonderful modern, very clean and contemporary accomodation.

Wonderful, modern and very clean accomodation. Communication was excellent and always available on the phone. We were met on arrival and taken to the apartment as planned, it's very central and close to the ferry. The apartment has a very fresh feel to it and was kitted out as per the description. The bed was very comfortable with good linen. Great a/c - heating unit. Everything is right outside the doorstep, supermarket, bakery and all the restaurants and bars. They stored our luggage until late afternoon whilst we were waiting for our ferry. Good value for money. Highly recommended.

Don’t judge a book by its cover,.. fantastic !

Arrived by taxi from the port and honestly a little underwhelmed when we arrived, a set of stairs to access the accommodation above a supermarket... however, wow Anna greeted us and showed us to the apartment beautifully finished, plenty of room and a balcony looking over to the waterside. It’s the little details and quality of all the furnishings and stuff that make this place special. Being above the supermarket turned out to be fantastic and no problem at all as we had easy access to essentials, very quiet and a great kitchen to prepare food and the balcony to enjoy a beer. A special mention to Anna, unbelievably smiley and helpful ... made everything so easy for us from car hire to boat tickets. As for Stari Grad do not underestimate this place, lots to see and do and a wealth of nice places to eat.
