Three Day Layover in the Adelaide Hills
Reviewed By B3582WVsimondAfter a few unsuccessful attempts to visit caused by COVID we finally made it. The view from the Balcony Apartment was amazing. Secluded in the Adelaide Hills the scenery from our room was just what we were hoping for. The balcony apartment is spacious with a good sized living/lounge/kitchen area, leading to a large bedroom and ensuite. All of the required food preparation and eating utensils are well catered for. The breakfast provisions in the fridge were ample and fresh. The bread and fruit was a nice touch and welcomed after a days driving. A couple of small things perhaps. In the summer months a fan or air conditioner would be a welcomed addition in the bedroom. The single air conditioner in the living room was ok but did not provide that cool environment. The Retreat is definitely heading to five stars and we will be back for sure.

I emailed them a bunch of questions about the wedding venue and they replied very quickly and with great detail. I look forward to meeting with them in person and seeing their beautiful winery !

Checkin was easy. The pub and restaurant is right down stairs so easy access to great food and drinks. The room was very comfortable and the decor luxurious. The bathroom is huge! Highly recommend for a stay in Crafers and Mt Lofty area. A lot to see and do in the area - Mt Lofty lookout and cafe, Mt lofty house(ask for a look around in the hotel, it’s a Sofitel property but the house is beautiful) the Botanic garden I attached so a great place to take a wander.

Beautiful Cottage
Reviewed By Lorraine FWe had such an amazing time staying in one of the beautiful cottages. It was such a lovely quiet area and only a short walk in to town. Vanessa was very helpful and we loved chatting with her. We loved sitting outside having a cuppa and watching the birds in the gorgeous gardens. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our very relaxing stay. We could not fault anything about the place and would happily come and stay again when we are in the Adelaide Hills

Reviewed By Jim CSuper friendly staff and great selection of beers and it ends there. Room 7 tiny, noisy and had a mild sewage smell. Music from downstairs loud even in the back room. No band, just loud awful music. Not my choice of stay. Perhaps other rooms might be better.

Reviewed By confused999The room was spacious comfortable modern and provided all the desired appointments. The bathroom exceeded expectations and was larger than most. We had chosen a room with a bath. Very good decision and very impressive room. The food was excellent although the choice was limited. We were disappointed however that there was no room within the dining room the upmarket dining area for hotel guests to eat so there would have been a wait for over an hour to get a table. Clearly the dining facilities are attracting many locals to eat there. This means guests often have to eat in the less quality areas. We did think the meal choices was limited for an upmarket hotel

Weekend getaway
Reviewed By Tom SI booked the Enfield hotel through a third party for a weekend away. I had a Studio Single room and found it to be perfectly adequate for my needs. Check in was handled well. The room was spacious with a comfortable single bed, ensuite, flat screen TV and tea / coffee making facilities I believe the rooms were recently refurbished.. A simple breakfast was included in the price. The ensuite hand basin is small but has a cupboard underneath when you want to store things. A small shelf adequately holds smaller items. I found I had no bath towel, but Reception dealt with this immediately. Onsite parking is a bonus. While the hotel is open late, I heard no noise from the bars. Really didn't hear any noise from other rooms either. Your electronic room key also opens the main door after hours. If you leave early there is a box to drop your key into. i was pretty happy with staying here and would return .

Great Pub Atmosphere
Reviewed By Rob MI meet a friend regularly here in the front bar for lunch. We love the atmosphere which still manages to keep the old style feel whilst it is updated. The food is typical pub fare but always excellent quality with schnitzels and burgers being our favs and not over priced like some other CBD establishments. The owner, Matt, always has a chat and is quick to suggest a good red from his cellar with rest of the staff being very attentive and very friendly.

A great little spot in the middle of every where I needed to get too.
Reviewed By adammC7692PJI would like to praise the staff there, there was a hick up with my on-line booking (my fault) and they bent over backwards to help me out and made a very bad day better. And the three meals i grabbed on the special board was recommended. Will stay there again with out hesitation. One of the high lights of the stay was a couple of games of 8ball.
