Hibiscus Coffee and Guesthouse

We are a clean and laid back bed and breakfast, located in Grayton Beach. We have 3 buildings offering 13 unique accommodations. All include AC, mini-fridge or better, private bath, coffee pot, satellite TV, beach towels and breakfast in the café. Our smallest room is the Magnolia. It's pretty cozy and has a shower (no tub), but it does have a queen-sized bed to sleep in. Like other rooms in the Café Building, it is decorated in a Florida beach house style. Our largest accommodations are the Flats (think Florida condo). All feature a full king-room, kitchen, washer/dryer, large flat screen and a fold out sofa in the living room. The upstairs flats have private balconies. Bert's Barn, one of the oldest buildings in town, has a warm, eclectic, old Florida feel. Rooms include the Tropical Bird and Romance upstairs which are adjoined by a kitchen and work well together as a suite. We also have the ADA compliant room called the Big easy. In addition, three of our accommodations are pet friendly. Fun fact, the Bert's Barn was built in 1904 and transplanted from down the street.

The guesthouse is a quick walk from the beach and there are several excellent state parks an easy drive away. We both highly recommend staying here.

Unique Old House that is getting a bad rap!!!!

Reviewed By BluBuny

We found this accommodation very pleasant. It a 150 year old house that has been converted into a Bed and Breakfast/Hotel. It is clean, comfortable and accommodating. I have read past reviews and found them not to be accurate. If you are look for a Ritz or Hilton type rooms, you will be disappointed. But if you want a historic, romantic and unique place to stay --- this it the place. I am 82 and found it romantic, if you are much younger and don't find it so, then take a Viagra or just go to sleep! Many of the previous reviews complain that it is in deed or repair and paint -- I don't think that comments like that are warranted. When you get to be 150 years old, you'll need constant repairs and a litt paint too. I think that the owners are trying to to a great job of maintaining the historic look of this property.

Beautiful Pet Friendly Motel

Reviewed By thomasnE9123VE

Newly updated motel. Perfect, pet friendly accommodations. Rooms are large and very nicely done. Tile floors, toaster, microwave, fridge, coffee machine. Housekeeping staff is top notch. Claudia and her staff were great and so kind to our dog. Nice pool though on the smaller side. Beach is across the street. Public access. The small cafe, Camille’s, was not initially open, but was the day we left and was delightful. Live music Sunday mornings. Did takeout from Camille’s (upstair’s restaurant) for dinner which was very good. Only glitch is parking can be busy because of the restaurant, there is only someone in the office from 9-5, and we had an extremely poor check out. However, we believe that this was an isolated incident due to the person in the office that morning. The rest of the time, the Newman-Dailey management (Kelli and Angi) company was extremely professional and awesome to work with. Would highly recommend this for a beach stay if you don’t want to rent a condo or house.

A little gem

Reviewed By rbt80

We had a very pleasant nine-day stay at The Little English Guesthouse. We loved the location which was convenient to downtown, yet very quiet, leafy, and pretty. It's proximity (walking distance) to the Market Square area was a real plus -- we enjoyed the restaurants and shopping so nearby. Breakfasts were delicious and our room was comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed reading and relaxing in the sunroom. Tracey is an excellent host - always available and friendly, but never intrusive. She knows the Tallahassee area very well and had several very good suggestions for activities and restaurants for us. Would recommend this BnB to anyone!
