Reviewed By jessicapc2018Found it difficult to understand about any of the facilities i.e what time breakfast is served and where as there was no information anywhere in any other languages. We were going to use the mini bar in our room but found the drinks in there were out of date by several years. We then used the vending machine in reception to find the chocolate was also out of date. We tried to tell the host but couldn’t make ourselves understood. Found breakfast laid out in the cafeteria the next morning but all the fresh food was covered in flies. Saying that the location is lovely and the room was comfortable.

Friendly service and great view
Reviewed By NiquitoWe stayed here 3 nights on our way south and were pleasantly surprised. The manager is friendly, the service efficient, food good and the rooms were quiet. There is a terrace opposite the hotel which is very popular because it offers good views of the harbour and town. The only negative for me was the walk up the hill to get to the place, not great when arriving with lots of luggage like we did. There is parking behind the hotel, but our SUV didn't fit. Best to park near the church.

The staff were very helpful and our room was very comfortable and clean. We had dinner at their restaurant also with a great selection to choose from, I have recommended this hotel to my friends now they are choosing to walk the Camino de Santiago this year.

No problem for the patient staff member at the desk--she was quick to give us our room keys, pointed us to the closest restaurant/bar and we were good to go. We could not believe how large our room was with a modern hotel bathroom with walk-in shower and great towels. The helpful front desk woman also arranged resolved a transportation issue for us the next morning and was very attentive to our every need. This was summer high season and the room rate was reasonable. Great stay!

Reviewed By josedel40This quaint hotel is one of those happy discoveries that fate has in store. I came across it by chance as I was driving alongside the coast. It offers the best of both worlds: the hamlet is quiet and surrounded by meadows and forests, yet it is conveniently situated a mere 5 km. away from the coastal expressway. It is the perfect base to visit that treasure trove of culture and nature called Asturias. It is halfway between the Eastern and Western coasts, a stone's thrown away from the amazing limestone beaches and close to Spain's craggiest mountains, Picos de Europa. I happened to be back to my homeland and wanted to revisit some of the summer camp locations where my childhood took place. Carmen encapsulates the legendary hospitality of Asturian people. After some hectic days filled with hiking, visiting pre-Romanesque churches and quaint fishers' villages this hotel was the perfect retreat. Silence was only interrupted by songbirds. I will certainly go back.

Camino stop off point
Reviewed By DavidA902Staff do speak English. The hotel has a letter missing on the signage outside. Do NOT let this put you off. The hotel inside smells fragrant. It is clean and it is tidy and the rooms are fresh and warm as well as spacious. My room has a shower but no bath. Water is hot. There is a vending machine in the public areas and a restaurant (closed during my stay in March 2019). This is a small town but is close to museum and natural facilities like beaches. I would recommend it. It is certainly not expensive in the low season for pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago to use. I was impressed with the hotel. It does not have a lot of public area.

Hotelito con encanto a dos pasos de la playa
Reviewed By CLAUCOSHemos estado 5 noches alojados junto con nuestro perro (sin coste extra por la mascota) y repetiremos seguro. El trato ha sido genial en todo momento. Es un hotel pequeñito pero dispone de todas las comodidades que nos hacían falta. Nuestra habitación (n°2) estaba en el primer piso, tenía: ventanas amplias con mucha luz, nevera, tv y baño completo. Las camas y almohadas (y ropa de cama) comodísimas, del nivel de hoteles 5*. Ofrecen desayunos completos tipo buffet, que se puede tomar en la cafetería interior o en la terraza al aire libre. Algo muy importante es que ofrecen a los clientes la posibilidad de aparcar, de forma gratuita, en un terrenito que hay unas pocas calles más adelante, lo cual es una ventaja porque el pueblo se queda sin sitio para aparcar cuando hace buen tiempo. El pueblo de La Isla tiene una playa muy bonita, un chiringuito (La Marejada) con buen ambiente para cenar y tomar algo, un albergue surfero con posibilidad de hacer cursos o alquilar tablas, y senderos sencillos que bordean la costa con unas vistas preciosas.

Reviewed By topnotch64My self and two friends stayed here for two nights in May 18 and was bowled over with the upgrade as I have stayed here before, the bathroom is exceptional and loved it, the owners are such nice people, even gave us all a lift to nearest town for food as we were on motorcycles, for two nights and picked up, my dream hotel with very reasonable rate, WELL DONE. I AM HOPING IT WONT BE FULL NEXT TIME I BOOK.

Rancio y sucio

Lo que nos encontramos nada más abrir la puerta del "hotel" fue un olor a rancio y sucio indescriptible en palabras. La mujer simpática y amable pero de limpieza no se caracteriza el hotel. Toallas grises, mugrientas, polvos en lámparas y cabecero, cortina de la ducha arrastrando más de medio metro con la barra medio rota. Jabonero con un sobrante de los anteriores imagino, por no hablar de la suciedad existente en el suelo y que la televisión no funcionaba. La guinda del pastel era el ruido, ya que se escuchaba todo del resto de habitaciones. Hemos estado en más hoteles de 1 Estrella y parecían de 5 estrellas al lado de este hotel. Experiencia totalmente negativa y desaconsejable.
