Great stay at Splendida - highly recommended!
Reviewed By Ashley CWe had a great stay at Splendida. The reception staff were waiting for us on arrival and whisked out bags away to our room. While checking in we had a complementary drink. Our room was clean, spacious with comfortable beds, a safe, free Wi-Fi and a good sized bathroom with a lovely rainfall shower. We had a top floor room with a balcony view. The mini fridge was full of both soft and alcoholic drinks (local beer). The Wi-Fi was very good. Our room package included complimentary breakfast which was served by the staff. There was the usual wide choice of cold breakfast our cooked eggs from the kitchen. The staff at the hotel were excellent and we can’t fault them. They were very pleasant and went out of their way to help us to recommend restaurants and tours - excellent service! The hotel is located a short 10min walk from the Diocletian's Palace in Split so ideal for walking and exploring the beautiful city of Split. I could not recommend Splendida Palace more!

Reviewed By g8rchrisFrom start to finish, the Balatura was a fantastic way to start off my Croatia vacation! The staff was SO friendly, accommodating and helpful with their recommendations. They really helped me get my bearings and make the best of the two days in Split. The location was perfect. A short walk to the city center but far enough out on a pedestrian street that it was very quiet and residential. Breakfast in the garden daily was really lovely and a great way to start the day before setting out. The rooms were a good size and very comfortable. They were well appointed and had everything I needed and expected. Enjoy your stay!

Loft room great for 3 friends traveling together
Reviewed By kahrkA great mid priced hotel a few steps away from the walls of the Diocletian Palace. Perfect location for exploring Split for a few days. Loved the clean modern decor with exposed brick bringing in elements of the past. Comfortable bed and great shower. We had a loft room with King bed upstairs and Queen bed on the main level and it was comfortable for 3 adults. Lovely courtyard and friendly front desk staff. Very quiet at night but we travelled before the height of the season.

Staff made the difference
Reviewed By IrisjayThis review was going to be 3 stars out of 5 because everything was just fine - not great, not terrible. But the difference was the staff. So friendly, and so welcoming. We called to reception quite a few times to ask for things like more coffee, or extra towels, or advice on how to navigate the city. Every time we came into contact with the staff, not only were they very friendly fast, and helpful, but they found a way to incorporate some sort of fascinating tidbit abot split or Croatia that showed how proud they were of their country, or how much they loved talking about their town to visitors. It was just really cool. For example, I learned that you can drink the water from the tap in the bathroom as it comes from some sort of 700 year old well and is famous for its purity. Not sure if I've remembered it right, but I liked the story. Overall, this place is safe, clean and within walking distance of everything you want to see in the city. Highly recommended!

Dishonest - kept money from booking, promising we could rebook after covid - then said voucher expired!
Reviewed By GenevaHappyTravellerThey kept 500 euros for the booking (their booking policy prevented refunds!) and said we had a voucher for future travel...But now we can travel after covid, they said the voucher ran out last year (when we couldn’t travel!) Reading the reviews, we maybe had a lucky escape from a not very luxurious hotel - but the dishonesty and bad faith is quite unbelievable.

Reviewed By TravelswithMrHThe hotel is stunning inside and the rooms are huge with excellent quality bedding and a wonderful shower. The hotel as others have mentioned is difficult to find so I would advise you to ask for options to transfer to hotel and someone will come and collect you and will take you straight to the door, cars can’t access the streets nearby. The staff are helpful however we did need to ask about transfers and for other information (beach towels, where was breakfast, what time, information about onward transfers etc) which I think for a hotel of this quality should already be provided to the guest. The breakfast is served in Kitchen 5 next to the hotel which for me was a little disappointing there was a very small selection of fruit, a plate of cheese and some small pastries with a yoghurt. There was an option to have eggs and Mr H said the omelette was excellent but for me who isn’t fussed on cooked breakfast it was a little limited. We had to ask for juice and didn’t know if any other flavours were available, just a little menu to let you know what you could have would have been helpful. These little issues meant the hotel didn’t get a full 5 stars.

Don't Judge a Book by its Cover
Reviewed By Yyztravel4foodWe stayed at the Vukovarska ulica 5 for 3 nights. Dijana and her husband were extremely helpful in providing us with all the useful information. From lugging our 5 suitcases up and down four floors to promptly come to set up the sofa bed right after a call. The location seemed far at first but after we familiarized ourselves with the area it was just a 10 minutes walk from the wall. The outside of this building was filled with graffiti and the owner later explained that it came back no matter how fast they cleaned it up. The inside of the B&B was exactly like the beautiful photos posted on their website. Not to mention the price was more than reasonable. The breakfasts at a closely restaurant included with the room were excellent. The owners are renovating a third property inside the wall. I am sure it will be of as good quality as the one we stayed in. I highly recommend all of their B&B's to anyone visiting Split.

The famous Venetian style "Republic square-Prokurative" and beautiful city promenade- Riva can be reached in only 3 minutes walk. For activity lovers nearby (8 min walk) is also the park forest Marjan offering many activities like cycling, tennis, trekking, kayaking as well as relaxation on the natural beaches in shade of pine trees. For the culture and history lovers there are two largest museums of history and art as well as the gallery of Ivan Meštrović - world famous artist. For a day tours to the islands one can get to the ferry port in 15 minutes or fetch the bus from the same place to the other cities or to the airport. Public paid parking is also available at 30 meters from the hotel.
Fabulous Split, Great accommodation and host
Reviewed By BennyCatWe had 4 nights here. A lovely room (room 1) clean and well appointed. Our host was great, really helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the patio area, a good place to chill. The rooms are just off of the main area so you can walk everywhere but it's just that little bit quieter than in the main area. We would stay here again and recommend it in terms of location and quality of accommodation. Thank you !

True luxury in Supetar
Reviewed By JoParisTravelsWe had the most pleasant, enjoyable, comfortable and luxurious stay at Hotel Osam in Supetar. I highly recommend one of the private villas that will not disappoint the most discerning of travelers. My wife and I visited the Brac island for a friend’s wedding and this was just the perfect stay. Anita, Mario and Louis went above and beyond to make our stay extra special! Ps. Even if you don’t stay in the hotel, do not miss the absolutely gorgeous roof top bar!!
