Three days of bliss (even our dog loved it)

Reviewed By EddieHenry

After 6 days with our grandkids in the eastern part of the state and a sick dog needing multiple nighttime walks in the miserable weather of Memorial Day weekend, we needed peace, tranquility and pampering. We got all of those and more at 33 Main. The Decor not surprisingly was beautifully designed. Our pretty room, The Aster ( one of 2 dog friendly rooms) was large and relaxing with both shower and tub. Our hosts during our visit were Donna and Becca who were friendly and warm and cooked outstanding breakfasts. The inn is so well located and you can walk most places. We took our dog for a very scenic hike at Kennedy park. The 3 restaurants we ate at, Zinc, Alta and Brava were all top notch. We loved the inn’s overall ambiance so much that we’ve booked a 4 night stay in September. Zero complaints, only praise!

We stayed at the Cornell Inn for 3 nights. The inn has been completely renovated, and is very up to date and welcoming. The grounds are lovely--from the waterfall and koi pond to the grassy area where you can play a game of croquet. Tables are all around the pond on an outside patio. You can enjoy breakfast there, as well as your delicious, HOMEMADE sangria that greets you when you arrive! Lovely to sit outside with your (also complimentary), brandy in the evenings. There is a basket of cozy blankets available to use if you feel a little chilly. Nice common area with a fireplace, and a separate bar room that has a puzzle on a puzzle table that you can sit and work on while you enjoy a cocktail. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. We had a complimentary bottle of local wine in our room, and a well stocked coffee bar. Shower was a good pressure, and not a measly trickle that is so common now. The breakfast is outstanding! Not just bagels and coffee here! This is a full sit down breakfast with a variety of excellently made options each day. Fritata was light and fluffy, great french toast, and choice of sides. You can also have a latte or cappuccino if that makes your heart happy :) There are warm brownies (Gasp!) available at any time, as well as a variety of teas. Owner and staff were friendly, helpful and genuinely wanted to please their guests. Easy, short drive into Lenox, and close to other Berkshire towns. Just a wonderful, wonderful stay @ the Cornell Inn! Would highly recommend you go for a few days.

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful time during our stay at the Devonfield Inn. Scenic views and a quaint setting greeted us when we arrived. The lawns are expansive and the English gardens are beautifully maintained. We loved the charm of the inn itself; dutch style doors, the original chestnut floors, and the incorporation of antique furniture throughout. We stayed in the Garden Suite which was a lovely, clean room with a comfortable bed (which can never go unappreciated) and our own mini porch with bistro seating. Breakfast was delicious each morning; Jim’s brown sugar apple bread was of special delight, as was his homemade guacamole that accompanied a tantalizing breakfast burrito. But as delighted as we were by the delicious food served and as charmed as were by the inn itself, perhaps what makes the Devonfield Inn a most precious gem are the innkeepers themselves. Doug and Jim are wonderfully kind, warm, and gracious hosts. They treat everyone as if they were old friends staying for a visit; we felt completely at home during our stay thanks to them. We also greatly appreciated their recommendations for local outings and activities while we enjoyed our stay. The Devonfield Inn is perfectly situated, requiring only a short ride to many local attractions. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and will certainly be back!

Nice hotel in Lenox

Reviewed By lgsmith2016

Bed comfortable with nice bedding, and the room was clean and very pleasant. It was basic, though, and bathroom small, for the price. The only furniture in my room besides the bed was a pair of bedside tables, a small dresser with the TV on it, and a straight back chair. Hmmm. The bar is really nice though, and I had a very enjoyable light dinner there, sitting outside. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

My friends and I stayed here for two nights last week. The Inn is cozy and spotless. The owner was super accommodating and the breakfast was delicious. Our favorite part was the wine and entertainment that is available in the gorgeous candle lit bar area. The Inn is right near Tanglewood and Kripalu. I can’t say enough about it!
