Wonderful hosts

We stayed here for 3 nights in this beautiful B & B. Valerie & Alain could not have been more hospitable. There are only 2 guest rooms & we were in the 1 that were for couples. The room was well appointed & clean & opened up to a small terrace. Our hosts were full of recommendations & it is only a short drive into Bergerac. Our breakfasts were magnafique. My wife is coeliac & Valerie prepared special gluten free things for her at breakfast. They sat with us at breakfast so we really could get to know each other. The grounds are beautiful with a swimming pool & it set around some beautiful vineyards. It is a place to relax but it also within easy driving distance to many of Dordognes sights. We had a wonderful time here & recommend it highly.

Fantastic

Just returned from a 4 night stay here. We had a fantastic time. Felt privileged to have stayed in a property of this age. The hotel is gorgeous with all the quirks that you would expect of a house this age. We had the bedroom with the balcony which was lovely to sit out on after a day out and about. Bergerac is a beautiful place to visit with lots of places to eat and cute streets to wander. There are gorgeous areas to visit in close proximity to bergerac. The owners of this property are lovely, helpful and very welcoming. We had a great break away and would like to thank them for their help and amiability. We would highly recommend

A return trip

Reviewed By robynchilds21

Just over 2 years since our first visit and we found ourselves returning to the charm of Les Manoir, it was everything we remembered and more. We slept well, we ate well and were well attended to by the fantastic hosts, Rob and Vanessa. They couldn't do enough for us and made our trip so very special. They recommended some amazing places to visit during the days and some delicious places to eat in the evenings. On our quieter days we were more than happy to relax in the beautiful garden by the pool and were lucky enough to experience some of their home cooked meals. Yummy! Visiting is a MUST, we'll be back. C'est magnifique!

Idyllic setting and the best hosts

Reviewed By Kate E

We had such a wonderful time at Domaine de la Queyssie. It is such a relaxing place to stay. We had thought when we booked it there would be more around it but the nearby village of Saussignac is quieter than we expected. Once we got our heads around that, and discovered the bus restaurant a short drive down the road (and perfect for sunset) we really settled into this countryside retreat. We stayed 6 nights taking 3 rooms. Two in the main house and one in the out buildings. The main house rooms have been renovated more recently and are beautifully done. Our room was also lovely and worked well for us as we have a baby and a buggy so we could wheel right in. There was also a bath in our room. There are chickens and a peacock wandering around the grounds, which are vast and there's a real sense of peace here. Guillaume and Gabie really make the entire experience. They are just the loveliest people and the most wonderful hosts. Genuine, warm, wonderful with my little Sebastian, friendly and they are both excellent chefs! Gabie prepares breakfast with home made jams and on most mornings, delicious cake! she also makes the desserts for the evening meals and even after appetisers, starter and main made by Guillaume, we always found room we didn't know we had for Gabie's dessert! Guilliaumes food is excellent - we had duck, goats cheese shuffle and even ducks hearts! This was a first for all of us, we were apprehensive but they were delicious! Staying here was like staying in someones house.. which you are... We could use the kitchen and had space in the fridge for our things, so we could pop my babies bottles and food in, and a bottle of wine/ beers for us to enjoy before dinner. We loved our stay here - the hugest thank you to Gabie and Guilluame!

Perfect spot

Reviewed By terryh866

We chose to end our holiday here after touring the area. It proved to be an ideal choice. Our Satnav / google map struggled but it is literally opposite Bergerac airport. Take the small lane next to the staff car park - it’s about 500m. It’s perfect to drop off a hire car and take an early flight next day. It’s a lovely quiet spot with a super pool in the garden. It has a rural homely feel. Wonderfully clean and comfortable. One important thing to know - the host does not take credit cards only cash so be sure to have enough.

The Ostal de Pombonne feels like home and I loved staying there. This was our first visit to Bergerac area. From the moment you "access the grounds", you feel the graciousness of Dordogne hospitality. Our room was on the main floor. It was extremely well appointed with everything we would need. Highly recommend Ostal if you are heading to Bergerac.
