Quiet place to stay
Reviewed By 904agnescA quiet and safe place to stay, not far from the beach in a nice neighborhood. The rooms are huge (bathroom, bedroom and separate living room with fridge). All windows are screened so at night when the hungry mozzies are out in numbers, you can let the cool breeze in without being eaten alive. The mattress is comfortable and linen clean and the whole property is well looked after. The staff is very friendly and helpful - even in full ramadan they went out of their way to make me comfortable. There are plenty of restaurants around to kill every hunger.

Reviewed By samiab329This was my second trip to Gambia and I stayed in Roc Heights purely due to the fabulous staff, especially Omar who really went out of his way if I needed anything. All the staff are friendly, happy and ready to assist. The rooms are huge and clean. A few upgrades are needed as some fixtures have become worn and need changing. Breakfast is simple but Lamin makes excellent omelette. I prefer the location as it's away from main tourist hustle but only a 5 minute walk. The area is safe even for solo female travellers. The beach is just a few minutes walk and very clean. There are a few eateries and bars nearby, some serving traditional food. Benachin with fish is delicious. Do try the local dishes.

Reviewed By Ladym495Location is good, walking distance to beaches or main strip of Senegambia. Huts are spacious and comfortable with kitchenette area. Lovely surrounded gardens, with pool and Lake with fish. Relaxing listening and watching the different birds, or monkeys which come to visit sometimes. Staff Pa (the manger), Baye Fall and Albertina very helpful and friendly. Pa is available if you need a lift to main highway/beach area. Or its nice to walk you get to meet friendly locals. Its a nice quite area away but not too far from main tourist area. Travelled alone and felt safe staying here.

Voor de natuurliefhebber en vogelaars onder ons, is het een waar paradijs. De kamers zijn erg primitief, maar voldoen prima. Het personeel is fantastisch! Onwijs aardig en behulpzaam!

The breakfast was simple in beginning. Later came more variations but end at 10 am witch for vacation to early. Feel free and be like home is the motto. You can invite local friends for a lunch. The room is comfortable and the beds are good. Pool is clean and even your bed each Day cleaning. This hotel can be performed better after some little investigation like, uniforms, kassa and payment system.

Reviewed By Curiosity52595401871Pleasant and clean beach front hotel. Swiss Boutique is a 9 room Eco hotel, cleverly designed bij the Gambian owner and manager Sainy. Sainy and his friendly staff helped to make this a holiday to remember. The pool is cleaned daily by ‘Abliy’ a reliable, friendly, smiling coast’ Gambian. Back in ‘23!

Super hotel and gardens
Reviewed By serena99I was brought here at 4am after a mix up in my hotel reservation. The room I was given was very spacious, with hot shower, comfy bed and fridge (for additional price, as was a/c ). I had a nice breakfast in the morning in the gardens, whilst awaiting my guide, who the lovely receptionist Mariama had contacted for me. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you have a vehicle as it has safe parking.

Reviewed By SandyhoNo information received and especially no one for the reception on the day of arrival, key given by the very nice guard but no additional information by the manager afterwards. Restaurant closed during the entire stay, Bar open sometimes and especially without a fixed schedule, no water in the pool on arrival on October 27, 2021 and this until November 7, 2021. Badly cleaned apartments, dust everywhere, cobwebs, kitchen never cleaned except washing the floor, Sofa very uncomfortable and full of dust, only positive point is the quality of the mattress. The hotel was not ready to welcome people, construction work everywhere, dirt everywhere and a receptionist not up to welcoming people and above all not informing people of the condition or apologies for all the inconveniences
