Modern block of air conditioned, luxurious self-contained apartments run and serviced to the high level of a hotel service. The property consists of six generously sized, 1 bedroom apartments which sleep up to 3 guests and one 4 bedroom which sleeps up to 8 guests, arranged over 3 floors. Furnished with super king beds and luxurious Italian furniture, our apartments are of the highest standard offered within The Gambia. The 2 penthouse apartments (1 four bed and 1 one bed ) have triple aspect views of the area and some sea views in the distance. They also have their own large private dining and sun terrace. The 4 bed penthouse further has a roof terrace where one could enjoy private dining, sunbathing or jacuzzi spa bathing within arms length of the 'Waves' roof Restaurant and Bar for immediate service. The gleaming pool is kept in pristine condition and the rooms are serviced daily. All apartments have FREE WiFi access and we can also provide guests with mobile phones with local SIM cards to keep you connected. We offer an airport transfer service, breakfast, half or full board packages also starter food packages. We can arrange local tours, currency changing, in fact nothing is too small or to much for us to arrange for our guests. We are 10 minutes walk from the local beach, a call from a taxi rank and 30 seconds from a local amenity shop providing every amenity for your holiday or business visit to The Gambia. Reviewed By adrian tI go there 7/8 times year Clean Trustworthy Good location with shops near Good staff Good cleaner Power is problem But this is 3 world so not there fault it's the governments ! Fridge / hob/ sofas Shame it doesn't Have oven but they don't use them out there They have run generator a lot as power issues Short walk from main road that makes it better that being in tourist hub and inflated prices

Reviewed By Pete12346Big apartment with everything you need, comfy bed,air con, cooking facilities,the wifi is good. The rooms are cleaned well every day. All the staff are friendly and welcoming and security is good. Had no problems what so ever so can't fault the regal apartments.

Reviewed By fpclarkeMy friend and I stayed in the Calabash spacious 2 bedroom apartment in mid November 2021. It was the perfect location, walking distance to the beach and not far from the good restaurants bars and live music venues. The apartment had good WIFI coverage, super cool air condition, friendly and accommodating staff. There is restaurant bar on site and a pool surrounding by lush gardens. I would like to say a big thank you to the owner for being so helpful, kind and attentive during our 6 days stay. Fay

Time in Gambia Kololi
Reviewed By jeffwithjulieMy last visit to The Gambia was on business and for pleasure. We booked into the Riyan Apartments in Kololi just passed the Junction with the Palma Rima hotel. Situated above the convenient Supermarket with a large car park just set back of the Birtil Harding Highway and a 5 minute walk to the beach down Palma Rima Road. The entrance and reception is clean and welcoming with 24 hour staff available. All the staff we encountered were very professional, well trained and gave excellent service. They made you feel welcome and nothing was too much for them. Becky the owner/ manager was wonderful too and we alway got a good welcome and a smile when ever me went through reception. Out back is a nice swimming pool and sun beds set in nice quiet garden. The Room was large with a separate bedroom and en suite and was very reasonable for the price. The Apartment was far better furnished than all the regular hotels we had stayed in before. The shower worked brilliantly with hot water always available the bed new and comfortable with clean soft cotton bedding along with Air con in the bedroom made sleeping easy in the hot humid nights. The kitchen had a cooker and fridge and with a few steps to the supermarket for fresh breakfast ingredients we had breakfast outside each morning watching Kololi awake to its normal busy commute. The room also had a TV and two sofas but who comes away to watch TV. Location wise it’s fantastic been 5 minutes from the beach or a 5 minutes Taxi Ride to the strip. In between you have loads of bars and restaurants to cater for you. This is certainly a place to consider staying in if you are after a self catering apartment in kololi and we sure would stay here again in the near future We had visit morning from the monkey you can see in the picture. We were sat having breakfast when he appeared from the left.

Reviewed By van692018My 3rd visit to Afroco and by far the best self catering accommodation i have stayed at whilst in The Gambia. Neil has a good generator that allows lights, TV etc. to be used when the power is off (the power situation was definitely worse this trip). Gas stove facilities allow cooking and water to be heated and an under counter fridge is also standard in all rooms. Ceiling fan available when mains electricity on and large wall mounted fan when generator in use. Staff are lovely and are there if you need them but do not intrude. Supermarket within a 5 minute walk, good local places to eat nearby and not far from the "turntable". Less than a minute's walk to the main road and taxi's easy to hail.

Gracious quiet in The Gambia
Reviewed By HamIAmMy wife and I lived in The Gambia for three years working for the U.S. government. When visiting dignitaries came, we lodged them at the Coconut Residence. New security regulations for diplomats have changed this practice in recent years, but when I go back, it's still where I stay. I don't need beaches. I don't need to see lots of beautiful (and not-so-beautiful) tourists. I want a quite, gracious place to come back to at the end of the day, where my room is quiet and comfortable, where the food is good, and the staff is attentive but not overly so. Is it perfect? I could quibble, I am sure, since this in The Gambia, not Majorca. But I have no hesitation in saying it is where I'll stay on my next visit.
