Well equipped rooms
Reviewed By manofekentRight in the middle of Clermont-Ferrand this small chambres d’hote has six (yes, I know it only says five) well equipped and nicely furnished rooms, so there are enough power sockets, plenty of lights including bedside lights on both sides of the bed, decent bedding and seating, everything you need for a short stay. Reasonable continental breakfast is provided along with a capsule coffee machine you can use ate your leisure. It is in the middle of town so parking must be paid for but there is a large car park a short walk away. The owners have a small garage available on request. There are several reasonable restaurants within easy walking distance.

"Once upon a time...In a village of Auvergne, a lively inn, full of happy moments. This inn, in the center of Blesle (Haute-Loire, french department), medieval borough, one of the most beautiful villages of France, at few kilometers of A75 motorway, it’s La Bougnate.
Stunning meal prepared by fantastic host
Reviewed By Joesef63We arrived in Blesle in the early evening and were lucky enough to be able to book a table for two at La Bougnate. I cannot understate the quality of the food but what we will remember most is the genuine warm welcome and hospitality of our host Dominique Dubray who provided us with a fantastic 3 course meal and insisted we try some of the local Verbena liquor as a digestive! I cannot speak for the rooms as we were staying elsewhere, but you will find it difficult to experience a meal of this quality in such a fantastic setting.

Reviewed By robbie7vNo internet in rooms food was really poor, very surprising after looking at the description of the property, and the pictures of the food on offer...problem is it isn't on offer, no A La Carte menu, just take it or leave it , with NO vegitarian option....massively overpriced as was beakfast...jam and csoissants, all bought to you ,not help yourself....no orange juice, no cold meats etc... 17.00hrs check in means that there is nobody at the property before this The room was ok, and clean

Little heaven in the city
Reviewed By StephA09We stayed at the property for 2 weeks in their suite as there was 3 of us, and a 4th person join us on the last few days of our stay. 2 rooms, both which can be either with a king size bed or twin beds. Both rooms were facing the indoor swimming pool. I loved the shutters which kept the day light out and of course the swimming pool!! It was all on one floor which made it very easy to move our little boy in his wheelchair. The property is literally 10 minutes to town centre, 5 minutes to Jardin Lecoq (a walking park with play area for children), 10 minutes to the train station. The highlights must be the owners Nicolas & Sylvain which made our stay very easy and relaxed. They are very friendly and professional. We are already planning to go back for a stay in April 2019.

Reviewed By Richard WThis hotel serves an excellent purpose for those setting out on the Robert Louis Stevenson Trail or the chemin de Compostel. It is located close to the centre of town. The rooms are spacious and the service is all ome could wish . Dinner was tasty and we recommend this address .

Reviewed By 2020yvesgBooked a family room for an overnight stay by the hills for a bit of escapism. Lovely quadruple room (small and with low ceiling, but EXACTLY as advertised and foretold when I booked by phone), awesome location by the slopes. No skiing this time, but some great sledging as a family, and a nice after-sledge drink on the pallet furniture. Food pick up well-organised, felt safe throughout the stay. Merci, et à très bientôt!!

Reviewed By K1160ORdaniellebLovely hotel with incredibly helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are not large but they are perfectly functionable and immaculately clean so no complaints. Offered excellent value for money. Lunch was a gastronomic delight, we didnt expect it... but no wonder the dining room was so full, be sure to book a table, it is truly delicious.
