A Charming Gem in Magnolia Springs

The Magnolia Inn is truly a B&B to consider when visiting Alabama or Florida. The Magnolia Inn sits on a Tree Lined street with Oaks that are like a Canopy when you drive up. Once you arrive David is there to welcome you. After you are settled in, you are free to roam the common rooms of the home , sit on the wrap around porches or stroll the gardens. I can't say enough about Breakfast !! It is one of the BEST I have ever had at a B&B. David will start you off with a Fruit parfait served in elegant dish ware, then its Beautifully prepared Eggs, Grits , Bacon, French Toast and muffins. The Breakfast is SO filling that you will not be looking to eat for several hours. The Rooms are nicely appointed, clean and fresh. My view (Room #5 -2nd floor) had a view of the beautiful oaks. In the Dining room there is a stocked fridge with sodas, water, juice and treats for you to enjoy a late night snack. David & Eric are such Wonderful hosts. They are near if you need them, but let you enjoy the inn on your own and I loved that. You are about 20 minutes away from Fairhope Alabama or 1 hour from Florida if you want to enjoy sightseeing, shopping, etc. Also, There is a Restaurant Down the street from the Inn called "Jessies". It has delicious Steaks and seafood and a nice atmosphere for dining. I cant say enough about the Magnolia Inn, Its Charming. You just CAN'T get this feeling at a Hotel chain.

Historic treasures in the heart of entertainment!

This business is an amazing historic classic! Came on a business trip with my boyfriend and this exceptional place made it a luxury visit. Within walking distance to awesome restaurants and entertainment, also a short drive to AU makes this idea for visiting loved ones or to simply vacation. Our host was so sweet and the comfortable king size bed with private entrance to our room made this treasure the ideal home away from home…. I felt like a wealthy Victorian heiress at a surprisingly affordable price ? In the past, I never cared to stay in Opelika and now I can wait to come back just to stay here!

One and Done!

Reviewed By jacka414

Stayed one night during a solo road trip in June 2022. Arrived late, left early. Good location, quick drive to US Space and Rocket Center. Lots of parking. Definitely never staying there again! Someone staying in a nearby room had a dog with a high pitched bark in this no-pets property. Made much worse by the owner (?) who kept whistling at the dog to make it stop! At least all the barking and whistling stopped sometime after midnight! Friendly helpful desk staff, but very poorly maintained hotel room and hotel: No ice bucket, (and none available, was offered a plastic bag instead to put in the sink). Broken thermostat - had to control temperature directly at wall unit, bathroom light built into mirror didn’t work, Room key cards didn’t open room door after breakfast - had to get them replaced. Ice from the ice machine on 6th floor had a strong, persistent and unpleasant chlorine taste. Broken elevators. Got to share the single working elevator in this 6 story building with both the housekeepers and all the other guests. At least had a couple of nice conversations while waiting for the elevator. Breakfast was soggy, very disappointing and unappetizing but at least the coffee was very good!

Excellent customer service, and great hotel services

Reviewed By Peter Y

Couldn't be happier with the customer service provided by Steven at this hotel. Steven gave me a friendly welcome on arrival and some invalable advice on local transport connections which ended up saving me around $300 (!) through a cheaper flight a shuttle connection to Atlanta International. In general this hotel is an excellent place to stay in Auburn. The free 24 hour coffee, tea (even with a surprise English tea selection!) and well-equipped gym will make this my go-to option for future stays in Auburn. The staff on front desk even allowed me to change the dates of my booking without any extra cost. Five stars!

Great hotel with large rooms. There really isn’t an office, you check in at the bar area that is the center of the hotel. They don’t offer early check in. There is not a restaurant, but plenty of options within a few blocks that you can walk too. The bar was a great place to hang out with friends and it does close about 9PM, so it is quiet for guests. We would stay here gain without hesitation.
