A lovely property in a quiet setting
Reviewed By DevonJasperBroke our journey through France with an overnight stop at this attractive property whose chaming owners Pascal & Beatrice made our stay so pleasant. We had a lovely room with large ensuite shower and space to sit, we joined our hosts for supper having forgotten to warn them I am a non meat eater, with little fuss a huge dish of fresh vegetables appeared, an ommelette and followed by a dessert all washed down with nice local wine. Well worth a visit.

Living in an old spinning mill, comfort 4 **** (City Break premium) luxury. 4 Bedrooms including two suites. 1 Serviced apartment (4 ****) (1-4 people) Private bathroom and toilet. Free wifi. Flat-screen TV. Courtesy tray, and an electric kettle. Secure underground parking. Cardio room. Restaurant near (150 m) near the town hall of the three museums Basilica Theatre.
Good and pleasant B&B
Reviewed By alex4777Perfect B&B with an excellent fresh breakfast. We had the Zen room for the two of us. It has a bubblebath and rainshower and lots of soft lighted Zen items, so it can be very romantic with the right company. Car can be parked in the street or in the parking lot opposite. The location is very convenient 200m from the city- centre with ample good restaurants and bars. Carole is a very pleasant host. Only disadvantage is, you can enter your room after 5:00pm. So 4 instead if 5 star.

Reasonable little place to stay
Reviewed By Charlie BThis little hotel is perfectly situated right in the middle of the old town of Laon. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The Décor very basic and the fittings pretty cheap and tacky. The hotel offers no services at all so that in reality it is just a convenient place to stay. I do not understand how someone can describe this hotel as 'Excellent 10*** and the 'Must Chosen' hotel in Laon!!!!' That just does not describe this 'Hotel'....it is just a place to stopover. Restaurants, the old Cathedral and the city Square are very close. The street is very narrow and there is a bar/pizza shop right next door, so noisy until very late. There is no parking and we just risked it and left our motorbikes on the pavement at the door!

3 bed and breakfasts with a terroir'products shop in the same place. Magnific views from 2 of the 3 rooms and in the garden. Quiet place, confortable et simple. No television, an independant bathroom per room, wifi in each room. Near the castle, near two restaurants (a logis de France and a pizzeria)
Charming B&B with an interesting touch
Reviewed By SeimenBurumNice small B&B run by an easy going lady who also runs a shop with local produce like jam and juices. My room was basic but nice and clean. There was no TV but free WiFi internet worked well. The French style breakfast was ok with some bread and various spreads and some of the local produced jams. From the breakfast area you can have a good view of the landscape behind the building The small town of Coucy is nice and has the remains of a huge castle. Otherwise there is not much going on and there are only three restaurants.

After a car accident we were able to check in late at night, the owner Marie was waiting for us and even gave us a beautiful dinner!!! Every corner of this house is full of love and care. The best place to stay near Paris ❤️

Décoré avec goût, ce domaine propose de nombreuses prestations même si le temps ne nous permettait pas forcément d’y participer (tennis, piscine). L’accueil est de qualité et le petit déjeuner correct. Un endroit vraiment paisible pour un week-end loin du stress parisien.

Reviewed By gavsbagsDon’t want to be too cruel as the poor old boy running the place looked knackered, but it felt like a place where the owners just couldn’t keep up with looking after the place like they used to or need to these days. It all smelt and felt a bit tired, musty dusty and damp to be honest. The bed linen was past it, the garden needed some tending, the rooms badly needed airing, the outdoor furniture needed a good clean and so on. The food in the Auberge/ restaurant was OK and the eccentric service was, for a single night at least, amusing rather than annoying. The kids enjoyed the pool, the sauna and the slightly shabby jacuzzi and steam room but probably not worth the detour off of the Autoroute just for that. It was reasonable value for money (and wouldn’t expect luxury for the price) but to describe it as “rustic French charm” would be a bit generous as we have stayed in similar priced Chambres d’Hotes elsewhere in France that have been much nicer I’m afraid
