Driven past here so many times, finally decided to stop in. Luckily we had a reservation and were seated fairly promptly. Every table was full from our arrival at 6:25 until we left close to 8PM.Excellent burgers, very good Cesar with salmon. Service was attentive. Lots of TVs showing the game. Loud but not overly so. Families with kids, teens, adults, all ages present.

We just left the restaurant and I couldn't have been more disappointed. They don't hire enough waitstaff so water glasses go empty, it's hot, you're sweating. Every time I needed something I had to flag down the wait staff. Then, she recommended the tacos. I asked if they were all from scratch. She said yes. Um. No. Can of beans in some bland rice. 3 tiny corn tortillas. Peppers and a small amount of chicken swimming in so much oil it was crazy. A tablespoon of pico and some bitter, brown guacamole. Almost $50 later for two plates of this, water, and tip. What a terrible meal.

Solea Restaurant and Tapas Bar

It is a beautiful restaurant in a very cool part of town. Normally we love tapas but they dropped the ball. The flavors overall were good but the service was terrible. They were extremely slow and haphazardly brought out our dishes. I wouldn’t recommend.

Typical bar food for the most part. It was our last meal while in Boston and I was in need of simple meal from all the over-indulgence of the day's prior. Ordered a tuna salad sandwich reluctantly as most the menu was greasy food options. I forgot that Boston gets some of the freshest sea food. The tuna was great. Really hit the spot. It was a busy night so I imagine the rest of the menu may have surprised me as well. Give it a try, especially if you're staying at the Crowne Plaza in Newton and need a quiet meal without going far.

Love this place! The bar side was pretty noisy but they have a table area which was more quiet. Food was great! Really loved the appetizers and deserts. Teriyaki Cauliflower - tastyDeviled egg - awesome although you need to share this; too much to eat aloneSteak tips - nicely charredBurger - standard goodDessert - this fried dough with Nutella - really sinful but of course will never go wrongThe service was very good with the server coming to us every now and then to see if we need anything but also assuring us we can take our time. Overall a very pleasant experience!

It's a pretty typical irish pub, dark and inviting. But the surprise was the quality of the food. We went here based on prior reviews and were not disappointed. The servers were freindly , and the food was served promptly, hot and tasty. A little bit tight for seating and the place was packed. Would definently recommend, if your in the areaThanks for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review!

I went with a group of about 10. Food was very good. I had the Wild Boar pasta. It was a Tuesday night and I was surprised at how busy it was. Even with a large group they did a nice job serving us, albeit the food did take a while to come. Good food. I'd recommend but don't go if you are in a hurry.
