I had been to an event that ended at 10:30. After I made my way down to Park Avenue to wind down my evening. I was starving. Every place I stopped by their kitchen had closed. But not Parkview. The kitchen was open until 1 am and the food was amazing. The wine choices are also plentiful and the staff was so friendly. Made my great night even better. Oh, it was also very quiet. I found most places were very loud and I just wanted a relaxing experience.

Since it was close to our hotel, we went for dinner once and lunch twice. Whiskey burger was juicy, cooked perfectly, and packed with flavor. The Oriental salad is so tasty. Burger = $11.29 salad $10.79. Left full and completely satisfied. Our waiter was VERY good. His name was Eddie B. The other two times we went we had other servers who were also good but not quite as personable as Eddie. Had the Oriental salad one other time of the 3 and it was just as tasty but smaller. Perhaps the dinner portion is larger than the lunch. The time we went for dinner around 5:30, walked right in. Never found it packed.

We went here because it was across the street from our hotel, but we should have gone to 310. same owner, but night and day in terms of service and food quality. My wife ordered something advertised as a "flat iron steak" that turned out to be a below-average piece of flank steak - we weren't warned, but then again, our waitron had to keep checking with management about everything from dressing choices to why one of our meals took so long while the rest were already served. The steak was so salty, it was inedible. I thought at first they'd just dumped some salt on when it was finished, but the bottom was also salty - all I can think is that they brine their steaks and don't bother rinsing them. The steak frites good but served without accompaniment (or choice of same), and our waiter left too fast for us to even ask for some ketchup or mayo. The staff in general were very poorly informed about menu (not one could say what the Thai dressing was without checking). We were served by three different people over the course of a two hour meal, and not one of them was competent. The salmon chips were mealy, and the dip on top had no salmon taste but plenty of chipotle to hide the cream cheese. Their sushi was pretty good, especially the salmon sashimi - perhaps they ordered out from the sushi place a few blocks down?On to our desserts. We were a party of four. Three of the desserts came at once, along with a waiter to tell us they were out of the creme brulee. I mean, who does that? Especially when two of the desserts were melting before our eyes and had to be eaten while our fourth person sat, watching, waiting for their second choice. By the time he got his key lime, the rest of the desserts were done. On top of it, the key lime had no lime, and no key, just out of the can whipped cream.Did I mention the "crab" was fake? You would think that by now, restaurants would know to write "krab" or warn patrons who might be allergic, but no. They pretended it was crab until I mentioned that my wife would need to go to the hospital - THEN the waiter remembered it was the fake stuff. The next night, we went again because our friends from the area insisted. And again, it was absolutely terrible. One friend ordered the lobster pasta special, a total rip-off at $30 with mushy, musty pieces of lobster. Another was served a stunningly inept carbonara. The appetizer, edamame, was a huge portion, but they tasted like any edamame out of a box and into the microwave. And, someone forgot to salt them. But the service was so bad, by the time we managed to get a waiter's attention, they were cold and soggy.Their Thai salad awful - hey, you're in Florida, right? but the shrimp were tiny, and they'd been frozen and defrosted at least once if not more - mushy, tasteless, all the things you expect from cheap frozen shrimp. Ditto the Thai noodles tasted right out of the box. The Thai dressing was right out of the box. My own oysters, at a happy hour price of $10 a dozen, would have been good if the waitress had bothered looking at them before serving. She described them as "about this big", which would have been around 2" in diameter. These were an inch at best, sloppily opened, and there was one really, really bad one in the lot. That happens, sure, but this was bad enough that I spit it out into my napkin. When an entire party leaves most of their food on the table, the waitrons should be trained to ask if something was wrong. The manager should come over. Again, I cannot understand why this is so bad when 310 was so good. A pity, but I'll never eat here again.KT, I'm so sorry to hear you did not enjoy your time at blu on the avenue. We appreciate your feedback and time. All of our fish is delivered fresh daily so we are glad you enjoyed the sushi. We do apologize for the service you received. We are working on re-training our staff and changing our menu so we hope you will come give us another try in the future.

Bulla's happy hour is a great way to try several things and still leave with something in your wallet. Happy hour runs everyday from 4-7. There are lots of small plates which run between $5-8 and meat and cheese boards from $14-18.We chose the Tortilla Espanola and Padron peppers for $5 each and the Gambas al Ajillo and Pintxo for $8 each. The tortilla is kind of a potato quiche, very flavorful and filling for $5 and the padron peppers, if you have never had them, are a kind of flavorful pepper that is served blistered with sea salt. Beware that every once in a while, you will get a spicy one, no telling which is which. The Gambas (shrimp) were probably our favorite and you got several in a nice butter sauce, sizzling in a little skillet. Pintxo were pork skewers with a nice aioli. Wines by the glass during happy hour are a good deal, several to choose from from around $5.50-$6.50. Very high quality selection. Val and Ben at the bar are knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I did a review on Luke's several years ago. Time for another one. My friends and I visited last week and Lance was our server. From the very start when I looked at the menu and saw that the price point had actually gone down since my last visit, I could feel something great here. Once Lance had our drink orders, he knew that we expected a great time, great food and especially great service. The niche turns out that Luke's has a more local feel to it now and so are those who are coming here. From toddlers to grandparents all were having a great time. Lance was an extremely attentive server which is so very rare these days. Luke’s has changed up the menu since we last visited too. We ordered starters and several sides while we enjoyed perfectly mixed drinks. I had the Flank & Frites along with grilled Okra that reminded me of my Mom's okra. Yum. Lance thanks for a wonderful night, we all enjoyed your hospitality and professionalism and will return very soon. Table 20
