I’ve always loved this place but my last visit a couple nights ago was questionable. Food was not up to par. Very disappointing. Had the guacamole make tableside. But server did nothing to make this special. At 14.00 can you impress me? There’s a happy hour. Finally can get a margarita for a decent price. I asked bartender what margarita was his specialty he could give me a answer. Probably going to seek out other Mexican restaurants on the avenue.

You know when someone is just having a bad day you can kind of sense it, sympathize and overlook it, that was not the case here. We were a party of two and wanted to have a cocktail before dinner, my friend having frequented this establishment prior to our visit recommended it. My dinner companion decided on wine, I asked our server what she suggested and with a scowl she tossed a beverage menu at me. Thinking she was just busy and a little stressed I overlooked it. Our server then proceeded to laugh and socialize with other patrons and staff members, returning to us we were again treated to the same terrible treatment. Upon leaving my friend called out her poor behavior and she immediately verbally abused her. The beverages were good, the atmosphere and music great but there is definitely a lot of room for improvement when it comes to service.Hi Liz, I am sorry for the delay in getting a message to you. We are sorry you experienced poor service and I know our General Manager would love to speak with you further to make it right. Can you please reach out to me at [email protected] so we can connect?

Interesting selection of small plates (avg $10-$15) and slightly larger entrees (avg $17-$22), which our good server, Eric, described in detail. It took many appetizers/small plates and entrees since we were sharing to get anyone who wanted a taste, and the bill got pretty big in a hurry. Shrimp fried rice, and the sweet potato gnocchi were the most substantial main dishes we had. The short rib with mashed potato and broccoli rabe ($18) was savory, but I could have eaten 2 easily. Only ordered 1 each of the 2 desserts were tasty, but again, small for the price ($17 for the 2). Only 2 of us ordered wine by the glass, there was 1 draft beer, and 3-4 more cocktails all of which were good. Ambiance was fun and featured live music when we finished eating. Only a few entrees were ordered, and the bill was well north of $400 with a gratuity, but we were a group of 9, (6 adults, 3 teenagers). I will return to try a few items that looked interesting. I indicated mid-range below on price because no one item was more than $20-ish, but it adds up with small portions and the need to order many to be satisfied

I was there recently for a work event on a Thursday evening. I could not find parking close by and since it had been raining, I decided to valet-- even better or so I thought when they told me it was complimentary! Well,,, that free parking ended up costing me $200×++ tip!!! Since it was dark when I left, I did not need my sunglasses until the next morning.... well, needless to say,, they were not in my console where I left them!! Makes me so very upset'--- apparently,,, the valet guy thought he deserved my sunglasses more than I did!!

Granger's Grille

Reviewed By Popoo

Each time I visit Grangers I discover a new wonderful dish or two. This time (my eighth visit) I asked for a taste of the soup du jour (gumbo). It was a rich semi-spicy red concoction loaded with shredded beef, small shrimp and veggies. I was sold. It was served topped with a scoop of white rice. My second surprise came when our waiter informed us that $5 burgers were available at happy hour every Monday until 5PM. Naturally I ordered one. It was at least one third of a pound, dressed with lettuce, tomato and raw onion, cooked medium rare as I had requested. It was juicy and worth far more than the $5 charged. My wife is not adventurous so she ordered her standby, Granger’s fish and chips. The chips are ordinary crinkle cut French fries, but the 3 good sized chunks of battered fish were excellent. I enjoyed one of the fish chunks and was forced to take home half of my burger in a doggy bag. I’ll return in a few weeks for a new discovery. Popoo

Had reservations at 8:45. I made them online and very specific...for "4 adults and 1 high chair. Inside table." When we got there they tried seating us outside. Way to hot for that. They said the tables inside were occupied. Finally they got us and took us to a booth that we couldn't fit at comfortably and no place for the highchair. They told us, again, to wait until a table was free. The table we were waiting for the people already paid but just still sitting there. So, after waiting and waiting we decided to just leave. Super disappointed!

It came to about $40, which is 2 regular meals at any other restaurant. Finally, the menu has a lot of great options. 100% would recommend to anyone!
