We stopped for a drink a bottle of deputy and Diet Coke for 7 Bbd which is cheap. Nice atmosphere and the food looked very tasty but we did not have any. The restaurant was very busy it does need some repairs and could do with a paint but was ok for a quick stop.

Went to find Wendyâs so my husband could watch the champions league match the day after. Thankfully someone heard us on the bus where we wanted to go and told us where to get off which was great. As I had read previous reviews itâs not in the tourist area so keep with it if walking. Got there and we had a couple of banks beers and tried the lunch. It was very good, our first experience of true local food (arrived two days before) amazing and busy with locals. Unfortunately we never made it back for the football as it was just to hot on the day for me to get bus etc but when we are back in barbados we will def go back.

Popped in as our intended venue had closed early! They a a great two piece band / vocalist playing, the drinks were cheap compared to most of Barbados! The bar food was excellent and the service from all the staff BRILLIANT. Took our friends who live on the island and they loved it and will recommend to their circle. Thanks

Visited Joanâs oasis beach bar on recommendation .Absolutely fantastic place with a lovely lady JOAN. Very friendly and welcoming. Ordered a rum punch and it was the best ever. Then had her famous fish cakes another excellent choice. First class service and food and drinks. WOULD CERTAINLY GIVE JOAN 10 STARS IF I COULD.. Will certainly recommend to everyone going to Barbados. Even brought some rum punch home that she made up for me.

We had eaten here on previous visits and always found the service friendly and food ok. On this occasion we were not as impressed. We arrived at the same time as a few other tables and they didnât have enough menus to go around so we had to wait our turn to get them & then order. This wasnât a big deal as we werenât in any major rush and we got our drinks fast. The starters came out pretty quick as they are obviously pre prepared and heated up. The main dish I got was a piece of fish and mash potatoes. Again it was fine but quite simple food that you would make yourself not really restaurant style. The serving girls were pleasant and efficient but donât think we would bother making the trek up here again. Thanks guys for the review and sorry we didnât blow you away but yes we are simple home cooked food and we donât pretend to be anything other than that.... if you want fancy arty food there any many high end $200 places available on this beautiful island - as for the menu issue we only use 10 menus so that orders hit the kitchen in a steady fashion allowing freshly cooked meals to be produced efficiently - a shame you wonât be back

Attended on Thursday 19/9/19, following a coffee a few days earlier and being âsoldâ it by a delightful and friendly waitress.Arrived a got a good feeling. Nice ambiance, attentive service, great tapas and very good singers. All in was good value and would definitely return.

This out-of-the-way little restaurant on Barbados' south coast is the perfect place to savour tasty, well seasoned, fresh local fish. This is an UN-ostentatious, home-style little restaurant, where the owner is always on hand to make sure that the patrons are satisfied. The menu offers a good variety of dishes and drinks from which to choose, and the serving staff are always friendly and helpful. Shakers is definitely a must-do on any visit to Barbados!

We ate here following the great trip advisor reviews and was not disappointed !! After 5 days in Barbados we all agreed that this was by far the best food we had eaten! The service was also really friendly and atmosphere great ( we visited on a Friday evening) ! We will be back next Friday :-)

We looked forward based n reviews to eat . No lobster ..our first choice ,, then ordered shrimp an marlin platters and coul not get as well. The guys who served us were sweet and I think tried but if we had known when we ordered there was no shrimp we would have moved on sooner . Nathaniel did give us tickets for a rum punch when we return but not keen on return with paucity of fresh fish choices Thank you for your review and sorry to hear that you were not able to get the fish that you wanted. Unfortunately we did not receive our fish order so were very limited that day. This is not normal for us at all and usually can offer more than 3 different types of fish. We hope that one day you are able to sample our food that has received such great reviews.
