I visited the Rolling Spring Roll recently. It is located off Jericho Tpk in a strip mall. It is a very clean restaurant. The prices are very affordable. We had 4 spring rolls and two medium pho soups for $31. The service was excellent. It was our first time and he explained all the dishes and how to add each ingredient to the soup. The spring rolls were excellent and not greasy at all. The Pho soup was fantastic, very fresh and a huge portion. It was a pleasure to take home the leftover. We will definitely return.

Wanted to try a new sushi place in the area. Since this was rated one of the top places in Nassau County we were excited to try it. The sushi rolls were average at best. They did not look nicely presented, nor did they taste great. The fish may have been fresh but, but it didn't look like it. It all just looked mushy. The fried rice was also disappointing. Not really fried, more like white rice with some veggies and scrambled eggs. The best thing was the spice edamame , which was very delicious. The staff were very friendly, but in the end, gave us something we had requested not to get. Well we gave it a chance and were very optimistic, but in the end, would not go back. The place is fairly busy and we could see they have a lot of regular customers, so we were just a little surprised. There are so many sushi places in the area and most of them are great. Just hard to figure out why this is so highly rated. Kumo sushi is great and ruby sushi is very good. We just thought we would have a change, and now are sorry we strayed .

In my continuing search for Asian restaurants my wife and I visited this location. We were very satisfied.PROS: Decent prices. Excellent food. The sushi sashimi combination was excellent with the fish slices quite generous and fresh. Locale quite pleasant and very clean (check out the bathrooms, as I always do). CONS: Difficult location to find, in the back of a small shopping center with very difficult entrance/exit. Staff a bit unfriendly.Would go again.

Valet parking, beautifully appointed, eloquent dining experience. Fresh, Perfectly seasoned and clean food. The scallion beef was tender and amazing and the vegetable dishes were perfectly cooked and may be the best I've had. Slow paced... Not a fast meal... Well worth the wait. Extra points of you can figure out how to use the chop sticks. This place won't disappoint. Enjoy

Surasang The Korean Cuisine

Surasang Korean Restaurant in Syosset is a gem with delicious foods, clean & cozy ambiance, and very friendly service. Mrs. Lee, the owner, personally oversees hostess and table waiting functions with utmost courtesy and efficiency. Mrs. Lee, a graduate of an elite university in Seoul, greeted all the guests with very friendly attitude. Menu items range from Korean dishes to Japanese and Chinese dishes. We tried Yook Gae Jang (beef hot soup), Jampong (Chinese hot noodle), Ja Jang Myeon (Chinese bean paste noodle), and Sweet & Sour Beef dishes for lunch, and the dishes were delicious. The restaurant is in a shopping center where parking spots quickly filled up. In the worst case, there are additional parking spots behind the restaurant.

We visited Golden Temple 2 for the first time. This is perhaps the Fourth Chinese Restaurant that has occupied this space in the past 15 years. Premises were chilly when we arrived. We were promised it would warm up which never happened. Chicken & Broccoli in a light sauce was excellent. The dish could have had more chicken and less broccoli. Wonton soup was above average. Decor is simple & some piped in music would certainly help the atmosphere.

Kashi Japanese

Reviewed By LKF55

I just had lunch at this location with my family.High ceilings and dramatic decor contrast with stained curtains and a pleasant but somewhat indifferent staff. The food is what you would expect-- the usual assortment of rolls and dishes that seem to be de rigeur at what passes for Japanese food nowadays. The only real question is "Is it Fresh?' and " How Expensive?"I can answer both. Yes, the fish is generally fresh and of high quality and the prices are reasonable.I think the owners of this restaurant have built a mini-empire at a time when there are many other similar restaurants around--and every Chinese restaurant now offers 'Asian Fusion' which includes a sushi bar of dubious quality where the fish tanks used to be.If you can't get to Arata (in Syosset village) or Nagashima (in Jericho) which are both much more interesting restaurants, you can get your sushi fix here.

New Chili & Curry Restaurant

Reviewed By ShankerB

a group of 4 of us stopped by on a cold night for dinner. Parking is on the street. We were lucky to find parking close by. It is a very small restaurant. It only seats around 30 people. We squeezed into our tables and enjoyed some beer. The spring rolls were quite tasty. The samosa chaat was a little too bland. The soups were great - hot and spicy. We shared the fried rice, the vegetable Manchurian and chili panner. The food was good. The panner was salty but we were able to get it replaced. Our friend had the goat achari which was pretty good. The service was just okay - the waiter was neither friendly nor prompt. But the food was good and we would try it again if we are in the area.
