ate here one night with our friends, staff were all nice including the owner who greeted us and gave us a table, the food was okay nothing special, we ended up ordering 3 bottles of red wine, after the 2nd bottle we noticed that the 3rd bottle was different, it was obviously replaced with a cheap local wine other than the wine we ordered, the taste,color, and the substance at the bottom of the wine was disgusting, we told the staff about it and waited for the owner to talk to us, but he did not, instead he told the staff that the 3rd bottle is free, the owner could have at least the decency to apologise to us him being friendly in the beginning. we stayed in Siargao for 2 weeks and we never went back to this restaurant because of the incident. my advice is check everything and make sure they open the wine infront of you, such a shame and we were really disgusted by this act. so i cannot recommend this place.Usually we do not reply to the reviews, as we want to let people express themselves about their experience in Emerald restaurant. But we feel that this review is totaly unfair and not representative of the quality of our restaurant. First of all we would like to put back things into perspective. Three bottles of the same wine were order along the night. The last bottle was clearly defective as it can happen sometimes. As it is mentionned on the comment above the defective bottle was offered, even though it had been fully consummed... But we will certainly never risk our reputation, trying to exchange wine bottles. This is not the way we operate in hospitality business.This accusation is outrageous, and clearly emerging from the odd imagination of this guest. Our mondays are always busy cause we have an acoustic night. The owner of the restaurant is performing all night during this event and could not let down all the other guests. Just to satisfy this person with his personnal apologise. As said above the defective bottle was offered and the manager spent time to apologise on behalf of the owners.

Wasnât the best breakfast - I ordered the international breakfast and the bread was hard and stale, the bacon was tasteless and I ordered scrambled egg and got fried - it wasnât my morning! Despite that the place has a really chilled relaxed feel, beanbags and comfy seats and itâs a few steps away from the sea!

I visited Karagatan for sunset during my stay in Siargao. This slice of luxury has the perfect backdrop for beach sunsets, before moving into the beautiful grounds for a bite to eat. One of the more luxury restaurant options on Siargao, this place is a must visit! I shared an array of seafood including scallops and fresh cooked crab and basically licked the plates clean! Fresh, well prepared and generous in portion size and paired perfectly with imported wines chilled at the right temperature for drinking. Hearty plates of nasi goreng (little dry) and mie goreng. The beef rendang was good. As were the veggie fritters. Their sauces like sambal seemed fresh. Would visit again. $

Place was on the overrated side. While ordering was systematic , it was somewhat humid inside and also first come first table available set up. We ordered grilled pork liempo , barbecue, chicken and scallops that tasted like chicken. Entertaining us were the friendly neighbour dogs who we love cuddling. But meat tastes chewy , seems like an internet sensation instead of the usual local faves.

One of the best options in the surfing area of Siargao. We went twice, for breakfast and for dinner, and the food was super satisfying and service was also perfect.Highly recommended overall, and would for sure come back if ever I had the chance to be in the island again... almost forgot, possibly the best Egg Benedict I ever tried in my life!!! I donât understand the negative comments judging everything except for the food, this is an island Restaurant guys, if you donât like the feeling of your feet touching wood or sand, just stay in the comforts of NY or Paris....Merci.

the place was pleasant, great ambiance inside. The service was fine, except for that time when they forgot my friends order. So, we had to wait another 15mins for her food to arrive even after we've all eaten already. It was an inconvenience, but the food was great.

Sushi here is great, freshly made. The sushi tacos are something I have never had in my life and they were sensational.A little bit on the pricier side for sushi, pretty much the same price as in Aus. But this doesnât take away from how good the place is

I loved it and rest of the menu looked fantastic too!Small walk in cafe with eating area upstairs and friendly greetings from the staff.On the main road and near the public beach. I also enjoyed the iced cold brew with a touch of their own cashew or #CoconutMilk my wife ordered the thick cold mango smoothie and Adobe which looked awesome too.Some of the best little eating experiences ever are in a tiny place like this where one has to actually walk through the kitchen to get to the table
