This restaurant is on the Westin Resort, right by the main pool. My sister and I went solely due to convenience but were thoroughly surprised/happy at how DELICIOUS everything was! Serving freshly prepared smoked meats with that all-American BBQ flavor and award-winning microbrews since 2002. Babeâs is the desertâs choice for BBQ and brews.
We walked across the car park from our hotel because we couldnât be bothered driving. We are glad we did. We shared a 20 Oz beer, a half serving of baby back ribs with summer slaw and sweet potato fries. Everything was very tasty and we both liked the refreshing craft beer. The decor was quirky and service was excellent.

Located in an old house just off Palm Canyon, across from Cathedral Cityâs central plaza, Sunshine Cafe has the look and feel of a joint thatâs been serving up the same breakfasts and lunches for generations. Regulars tend to predominate, but a visitor will find a decent menu of diner standards. Best to stay with the tried-and-true items here â pancakes, French toast, meat and eggs. More exotic items can be problematic; the huevos rancheros came smothered in what looked and tasted like spaghetti sauce. Service is great, though: every customer is treated like a member of the family.

Large and Varied menu, good sized drinks. My wife had the rack of lamb and raves about it. I had a pasta dish that was very generous. Vegetables were over cooked but that would be our only complaint. Staff was professional.

Having had wonderful lunches here, I was quite disappointed in the breakfast - potatoes were great as was the bread. However, the meat lovers omelet was disappointing - dry, dry, dry. Couldn't eat it all. Wouldn't return for breakfast but would for lunch.
