Now operating as Big Bottom Brewery, they offer a changing selection of home brews as well as a full service bar. Service is friendly but slow when crowded. Food is typical bar food and pizzas. Stopped on an evening with live entertainment which was very enjoyable. Would return if in the area.

Recently, I met dear friends for lunch at the quiet Marketplace in Dillsburg, PA. I ordered the Minestrone Soup and TurkeyBurger with decaf black coffee. The hearty soup with pasta, veggies and herbs was delicious; so was the Turkeyburger. As the Germans say,"Mittagessen war ausgezeichnet!" Lunch was excellent.

We are native Marylanders and should have been wary when told a South Central Pennsylvania restaurant had a really good seafood feast. We were totally looking forward to 'all you can eat' hardshell crabs, shrimp and clams. We could not have been more disappointed. All Seafood was boiled in plain water. The crabs had no flavor, were watery, tiny and unappetizing. The shrimp were a little better but again cooked with absolutely no seasoning. The clams were tiny but dipped in butter they were okay. For the price, customers expect a delicious "special treat' meal. Drive south to Maryland if you're wanting a better level of seafood. Two stars for nice beer list, offerings of old bay, butter, ect. to jazz up bland food although it didn't do the job. The place was crowded on a Thursday so other menu items must be good. I love the garden center next door and would go here for drinks and appetizers.

The Dunkin Donuts espresso is satisfactory and adequate in a pinch. The double chocolate donut did hit the spot. Service at this facility was particularly friendly and prompt.

Wolfes Diner

This was my first time here after passing it every Monday and Thursday the past year. It is the quintessential, classic 1955 diner that really looks to be mostly original complete with Formica table tops and bar counter with round stationary seats at the counter that seats 14. There are 8 booths with classic mini jukebox machines and two semi booths. All around you will find reproduced retro signage. I arrived just after eight pm and was the only person there except the friendly waitress and the very indifferent, sloppy waitress who took broom sweeping to an all-time low point!I decided to give this place the acid test by ordering an assortment of items such as a chili dog ($2.75), burger ($4.95), steak sandwich ($3.75), turkey sandwich ($3.45) and ham with cheese sandwich ($3.75). My expectations were not high. First out of the gate was the chili dog which came on a toasted roll. It was very good but could have used more chili sauce. Next was the steak sandwich which was described by the waitress as a piece of meat rather than a folded over Steak-Um wafer! Overall average. Next was the burger which was not juicy, average at best with fries that were crisp outside and tender inside. Onto the turkey sandwich which I requested on rye. The rye bread was delicious and the turkey real turkey slices not a manufactured gel product … bravo! Last was the ham and cheese on rye. The ham too was of high quality and not over salted. Another winner! The potato chips served with the items were not very good.Note the friendly waitress suggested I come one day for breakfast which is their sweet spot of meals.

Quintessential small town goodness. Handmade burgers from a local butcher made to order. Fresh cut fries. Homemade ice cream.

Food is very good and fresh, however, the hamburgers are a little on the "small" side for $7. The fries are always awesome. They need a new sign for their outside, no one can read the sign that's currently there. Nice people, good service, pleasant atmosphere.

The Game Table Cafe has been a fantastic addition to the Central PA area. As a cafe, their food and drink selection is wonderful, and the atmosphere is inviting. As a place to play board/tabletop games, the cafe is a true blessing. It's a great place for those who are new to modern board games AND for veteran tabletop gamers.Pros:- They have a nice variety of sandwiches, drinks, and baked goods.- Their soup of the day is always good.- There's a huge board game library that customers can utilize.- The atmosphere is inviting and has great lighting.- During each month, the cafe hosts many different gaming events (role playing, Magic the Gathering, board game demos, etc).Cons:- From time to time, Saturdays are so busy that table space is limited.- Some people may be turned off by the fact that customers have to pay a coverage charge to sit and play games.
